to think Yankee candles are the work of the devil

Vile vile stuff that gives me a headache and makes me feel sick. I don't think they contain anything natural like essential oils, just loads of artificial chemicals.

They are ugly too, the jars are unappealing.
The brand is naff.

Do they claim to contain essential oils?

I like some of them, Midnight Jasmine is particularly nice.

YANBU. I'm obsessed with scented candles but those are vile

I like some of their scents but not all of them. The home ones from Asda are nice.

I like the fresh scented ones, can't stand fruity or spicy ones, they give me a headache.

Ive never really looked into what they're made of tbh.

YANBU. My mum loves them - especially those little cakes that melt in an oil burner. The first thing I'll do when I go home at Christmas is blow them all out - the sneezing fits they cause both me and my daughter are nasty. I can barely walk past their shops, I don't know how anyone can work in them.

Each to their own. Ive got the Sunlight on snow one just now and its a lovely scent. Its not vile at all.

I used to like them but I feel the scents are not as strong as they used to be. I've found a great alternative in Urban Apothecary, made from soy and the bakewell scent is amazing.

I love them, but I know loads of people hate them.shrug. I second what pp said, the midnight jasmine one is devine.

There are some nice ones. The ones I like, I really really like.

The one scent I hate is anything Vaniila, it gives me a thumping headache

I don't like the ones that smell of anything edible, they're just too sickly for me. Especially cupcake and sweet ones. The exception to this is wild fig.

I love midnight jasmine, fresh cut roses, true rose and midsummers night.

A friend once said here take this. Vanilla candle, I don't like it.
Omfg smelt like cat piss. Spoke to friend who said that's what they thought as well.. About 3 months later the same candle came back to me

Never had the chance to look at the ingredients. But for what they charge I don't want chemically laden candles.

I buy the tarts. I like some of the fresh and florals. I have champaca blossom melting at the moment. It doesn't get up my nose like the spice or the vanilla cupcake varieties which give me a headache.
Never bought a YC candle, I just don't understand the hype as it's just paying out for a glass jar. The wax tarts are cheaper and like testers so no big rip off.

I love them! I love all the foodie/spice type ones, especially in the Winter.

I love the white cotton scented one.

I have a love-hate relationship with them. I love Fireside Treat, I'm considering buying All Is Bright, and I like the design of the jars. What I don't like is the godawful amount of black smoke most of them give off however closely I trim their bloody wicks. It seems to be getting worse year by year

I love the Salted Caramel. We have pets and believe me, it's much better than the usual Eau de Dog we have in our house

I have Berry Trifle which smells lovely but I can't have it burning long as it does seem to give me a headache

YANBU, I think they're horrible.
