It appears you're not safe anywhere, this just turned up in my fb... red brick house in Kidlington. Not Blenheim Palace

northernmonkey1010 · 07/12/2016 20:30

Is your house a murder house???

SpeckledyBanana · 07/12/2016 20:34

Wazzock. Superb word OP.

Lambbone · 07/12/2016 21:05

A couple of years ago we went on holiday to Nothern Spain, to a village called Llastres. Turns out this is where the Spanish version of Doc Martin (Dr Matteo) is filmed, and I think "our" house must have featured quite prominently as people were always taking pictures of each other in front of it. On one occasion a bloke actually wandered into the kitchen! We found the whole business very entertaining as part of the holiday.

Oddbins · 07/12/2016 22:27

it's obviously because the OP has had her house decorated with so many lights and plastic angels that the joist creak that people are posting it, and she's had the Decs up since August Bank holiday weekend

Duck90 · 07/12/2016 23:26

my house was photographed a lot this summer.( Promise it's not because there is a mattres lying in the front garden). I was quite flattered by it, not multiple groups outside, just every other day. Following this thread I tried to see if anyone put it on instagram, but nothing that I could find. Obviously my cottage garden did not make the cut. Gutted. Smile

Hoolie45 · 08/12/2016 18:24

This all sounds very suspect and attention seeking
If your not willing to say where you live why post at all ?
Sounds like you need to get a life.

Teepish · 08/12/2016 18:36

If you're not going to post a pic of your fucking house will you delete the thread and get lost? If youre not in UK we're mostly unlikely to come round

Just post a pic then do a name change

This is so fucking irritating honestly

lb364 · 08/12/2016 18:38

Do you have lights on the outside of your house? If so, turn them off - make it as dark as possible so photos become harder to take at night. Or plant loads of tall ornamental grass as a sort of camouflage Xmas Grin

simiisme · 08/12/2016 18:40

Humble brag and a half!
Nobody would Instagram my house. I don't even like it. It's pretty shit, to be honest.
Lucky you

RufusTheSpartacusReindeer · 08/12/2016 18:54

We stayed in an apartment in greece that was reached through a courtyard at the front of which was a beautiful door surrounded by red flowers

Had to say excuse me a lot as we tried to get in and ruined many a photo as we tried to get out

In india at the taj mahal a long time ago we had loads of people getting their friend to take pictures of them while sat 'next' to us Grin

Bantanddec · 08/12/2016 18:59

She probably lives in a shit hole with drunks and chavs loitering outside

Jojofjo44 · 08/12/2016 20:22

Do you live on Privet Close?

jimjamspam · 08/12/2016 20:33

Used to get papped all the time riding my bike at Oxford.
Love to think of tourists back in Texas with a picture of me sweating on my bike in the family album.

northernmonkey1010 · 08/12/2016 20:34

Is your house a bit tacky then OP?

trafficcarrots · 08/12/2016 20:42

Poor you having a nice house, suggest a 20 foot fence, problem solved. Oh wait... rollseyes

mrshuggybear · 08/12/2016 21:55

There are some really beautiful streets in old cities. There are some chocolate box pretty gorgeous streets in Cornish/Dorset/Somerset/Devon and Cotswold villages. Beautiful towns in Yorkshire and Wales. I can see how if you live in a tourist area this could happen. Usually in the summer but of course with all the Christmas decorations up too. I don't understand why it is disturbing the op though. Is it bus loads of people? Lots of cars? Are they very noisy? Surely just taking a few photos isn't disturbing?

klassykringle · 08/12/2016 21:59

Yikes teepish - if a thread's annoying you that much, might be time to log off for a bit!

Why can't someone come and say how pissing annoying this kind of thing is? It is, and I wouldn't post a photo of my old house where we had similar stuff either. That's not attention seeking, just privacy consciousness. Confused

AcaciaYou · 09/12/2016 07:40

I just searched instagram for my village, out of curiosity. My house is on there. How funny! I really must prune those bay trees.

littlestlily · 09/12/2016 08:19

do you live in Lavenham?
If so, sorry , one of those photographers might have been me a few months ago 😳

Teepish · 09/12/2016 14:17

Sorry. Had other annoyances going on too yesterday

Daisymaybe60 · 09/12/2016 14:45

DS's house appeared in a few episodes of Happy Valley. No instagramming. All he got was texts saying his car could do with a wash and somebody should sort that hedge out.
