This is what my (seemingly now ex) bf just referred to my dc as.

He can't understand why I'm so angry and why parents see that as a derogatory term.

And after 7 years of 'being alone' - you can do a bit more! You don't need this tosser - you've already done 7 years. A few more of being happy, with contented and secure kids sounds good.
