Why be creased?

Do what you want

I feel much better in ironed clothes. Also feel better with clean hair, make-up on etc.

I would be unable not to judge someone who went anywhere more than the corner shop in un-ironed clothes.

And I hate it when people have the ironing board out as a permanent fixture. All ironing should be done on Sunday and put away

But I don't iron bed linen. Except maybe for guests.

ThePinkOcelot · 25/11/2016 20:14

I have no idea how people don't iron. My clothes would look totally creased if I didn't iron.

VinegarTits · 25/11/2016 20:17

Telling me to do what I want doesn't help.no

I wasn't asking permission

I do love a good ironing thread though

"My clothes would look totally creased if I didn't iron."

So would mine. I don't wear much polyester though.

I don't judge people for not ironing. But I just don't feel good in wrinkly clothes. The hanging and pulling into shape advice given on here doesn't work for me.

Wookiecookies · 25/11/2016 21:21

Well nickname you mustnt be shaking it right then Wink Grin

I used to iron EVERYTHING, then I realised that life is too short for that crap. Enjoy your starched clothes, either way, my clothes are not creased. End of.

Wookiecookies · 25/11/2016 21:23

^ if they were, then guess what I would do? 😉 ^^

I would be unable not to judge someone for judging other people on whether their clothes were ironed or not.

I iron as little as possible. DH does his work shirts, and the school wear gets ironed but not much else. I tend to buy tops that don't need it!

leaveittothediva · 25/11/2016 23:01

Unless for some reason the garment looks like I've slept in it, I wouldn't iron. Life is far too short. I know of someone that irons socks, underwear and tea towels, interesting hobby.

Would you go to a friend's wedding in crumpled clothing? Or a tracksuit? No. Because it shows you don't respect her. Or yourself.

Same goes for looking like a slattern anywhere else. I'm not saying I look amazing all the time, I don't. But I am clean and tidy. Our of respect for myself, my colleagues, my friends or whoever I come across.

Also: it's not good for your self esteem to look like you're depressed. Which is the vibe given off by folk who clearly haven't made any effort at all.
