Ok, sorry in advance for posting yet another election thread in AIBU so please hide post if necessary Blush but, after everything thats happened is anyone else really surprised that she didnt at least thank her supporters at the rally? There's been nothing from her at all! Confused

Its just bizarre.

She's been locked up ain't she.

Saffronesque · 09/11/2016 16:28

Thanks for the link.

It's live isn't it? So she hasn't started yet?

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 09/11/2016 16:30

This is a really horrible thread

Hmm OP asked a legitimate question.

Please don't tell me that her camp wouldn't have been climbing all over Trump if he had lost and hadn't spoken last night. It has been talked about in the media.

My family in the US are Democrats and campaigned. They are devastated. They were still suprised she didn't speak last night.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 09/11/2016 16:30

BBC says it will be soon Saffron How soon I don't know.

eddiemairswife · 09/11/2016 16:30

Still waiting. I wonder if she has had a complete breakdown.

ohffsnotagain · 09/11/2016 16:32

This is a horrible thread because it seems so designed to find fault, character faults in particular, when the actual reason could be anything and we don't know. She's just lost after what must be an unimaginably exhausting process, and it was so close... why does anyone actually feel the need to pile more criticism on?

As for 'if Trump did this he'd be roasted' or words to that effect - well it's not as though you're letting her off are you?? And I doubt he would be - I suspect people would assume he'd been sensibly advised not to concede before the result was absolutely definite. I don't think conceding before you've definitely lost is a sign of character, particularly.

ohffsnotagain · 09/11/2016 16:34

And I'm surprised she didn't speak too, but there's a difference between being surprised and leaping to sneery conclusions about her just not giving a shit about her supporters. That's just leaping to conclusions for the sake of finding fault.

user1471525261 · 09/11/2016 16:36

She must be exhausted, humilitiated and pissed off that she's lost to someone who isn't at all qualified for the job.

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 09/11/2016 16:36

Kaine is on now.

butterymuffin · 09/11/2016 16:36

I wanted her to win and understand she must be devastated. But as an experienced politician she will have been well aware that these are the last moves you have to make when you lose. I would have expected her to grit her teeth and do it earlier.

Kain is speaking now so she must be about to appear.

ohffsnotagain · 09/11/2016 16:37

Yes, she's far more likely to have been too devastated in the moment, than to just be sneering at her supporters and not giving a shit, or not understanding the basic need to thank her supporters.

Wookiecookies · 09/11/2016 16:39

So from now on I must question nothing, criticise no-one and keep my council lest I be called nasty/odious or horrible. Interesting. Duly noted. Hmm

FarAwayHills · 09/11/2016 16:40

She's just about to speak

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 09/11/2016 16:41

I suspect she has had some kind of nervous collapse. But more, I think the team around her had broken down too.

Really this should have been done last night but I don't think she was fit and Podesta was all over the place - I thought he had lost it when he turned up last night and said they weren't going to concede. There was no chance and I suspect he had gone rogue considering she then conceded about 20 minutes later.

Unfortunately none of this gives a particularly presidential appearance and gives the trolls plenty of fodder.

JanetStWalker · 09/11/2016 16:41

Bloody hell, she looks very fresh faced considering!

midsomermurderess · 09/11/2016 16:43

Bill looks shattered, for her.

ChinchillaFur · 09/11/2016 16:44

She doesn't look like she's had a breakdown does she! Tired and emotional but pretty good, considering.

Tuktuktaker · 09/11/2016 16:46

Impressive speech, worth waiting for.

namechangingagainagain · 09/11/2016 16:50

I still think she's really impressive. Great speech.

Saffronesque · 09/11/2016 16:51

1st US concession I've ever watched...Sad

cheezy · 09/11/2016 16:53

I'm so impressed how she's managing to keep it together

EsmesBees · 09/11/2016 16:53

Really great speech. So dignified.

Wookiecookies · 09/11/2016 16:55

Agree, good speech.
