Ok, sorry in advance for posting yet another election thread in AIBU so please hide post if necessary Blush but, after everything thats happened is anyone else really surprised that she didnt at least thank her supporters at the rally? There's been nothing from her at all! Confused

Its just bizarre.

I have been wondering this too

Poor Hilary :( but I struggle to understand why she was running and why she didn't reach out to the voters that Trump it was almost as though she was saying they don't really matter (poor mainly white working class)

idontlikealdi · 09/11/2016 13:11

Sleeping, I would imagine.

YonicProbe · 09/11/2016 13:11

I know, Wookie - weird!

I guess they went for glass ceiling symbolism over practical. Also, I think at the point her campaign manager came out, they must have been thinking if a legal challenge was worthwhile on any close run states, but later results negated that.

AmeliaJack · 09/11/2016 13:13

I would imagine that she hasn't slept for a long time.

She might also need a little bit of distance in order to be able to give an appropriate concession speech.

I don't blame her.

midsomermurderess · 09/11/2016 13:14

I've been wondering much the same about David Cameron, where is he holed up these days?

Puddington · 09/11/2016 13:17

Enthusiasm FWIW the voter statistics show that more "poor" people (those in the lowest income brackets) actually did vote for Hillary than Trump. Richer people had the higher tendency to vote Trump -- and certainly more white people overall voted for him.

WingDefence · 09/11/2016 13:17

I've been wondering this too... Hmm

ajandjjmum · 09/11/2016 13:17

DH thinks she's ill. Not surprised - any normal person would be absolutely knackered!

Wookiecookies · 09/11/2016 13:19

Oh, good old Dave is probably off scoffing cream teas somewhere in cornwall whilst the whole house of cards collapses. Cheers Dave.

It is poor form not to thank your supporters and congratulate the winner. If she is unable to go either of those things, maybe it's just as well she didn't get the top job.

Louisianna16 · 09/11/2016 13:19

He's a private individual, now, so has no obligation to let the public know his whereabouts. :)
He does have an (unpaid) job, I gather. .

Louisianna16 · 09/11/2016 13:20

Dave, that is.

bumpetybumpbumpbump · 09/11/2016 13:20

She's clearly just devastated and probably feeling like shit!!!!!!

AlexaTwoAtT · 09/11/2016 13:20

...congratulate the winner in person, in front of a decently sized crowd.

BarbarianMum · 09/11/2016 13:20

Getting slaughtered on gin, I expect. I know I would be. Sad

Lilaclily · 09/11/2016 13:20

It's not even 9am in Washington is it?

Wookiecookies · 09/11/2016 13:21

I regretfully think I may agree with you there Alexa.

Every loser in such a massive competition must feel awful. However, most have the sense of duty and the humility to do the right thing. She cannot just creep away.

YonicProbe · 09/11/2016 13:22

Her campaign manager said she would comment tomorrow. She has spoken to Trump on the phone and congratulated him.

It's only, what, 0830 in New York? I expect she will comment before the end of the day.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 09/11/2016 13:22

I didn't say that they all voted for Trump but he went after their votes and she didn't

HappyCamel · 09/11/2016 13:23

I guess Trump was right - she doesn't have the stamina.

Stopyourhavering · 09/11/2016 13:23

Maybe she's gone to Maui ?Wink

Dizzybintess · 09/11/2016 13:24

Probably getting shitfaced

SallyR0se · 09/11/2016 13:26

I thought she might jack in the whole game, divorce Bill & embark on an Eat Pray Love odyssey.
But DH reckons she'll run again next time...

alltouchedout · 09/11/2016 13:26

Crying under a duvet whilst glugging neat vodka?
