Bless...... are you purposefully spreading misinformation or are you just naive?
Or both. Both is a good option.
The electorate wait to hear what people on the internet will think of them, and if it's bad, they put their fingers in their ears? Maybe they should listen to what the people they're electing are saying, instead, then.
The electorate = the people doing the electing. I think you mean the Democratic party, who did not listen to what people were saying and got a pasting in the election. And rather than listen, they are going on the attack characterising those who did not vote for their candidate as fascists, bigots, haters, uneducated etc. During the 18-month campaign, I did not see one Democrat entertain - even for a moment - that their candidate would lose, so smug and arrogant were they. I did read, however, predictions that this election would be the end of the Republican party as it would splinter. I am willing to bet that they find the election of their candidate rejuvenating.
Politicians and people disappointed by election results need to remember that voters sometimes vote against a party or candidate, not necessarily for them.
If the Democrats don't change and continue with their superior patronising treatment of a large swathe of the population, they risk alienating their would-be supporters.
