Another neighbourly dispute, same neighbours that claimed our cat was teasing their dog, and the same neighbours who accused us of stealing blackberries off their bush that happened to grow over my fence.

Well if I hadn't thought they were ridiculous before, I definitely do now.

Woke up this morning to find a note through the door saying they have had a new piano delivered and due to space they were limited on places it could go indoors (not our problem) they are saying where they have placed it is under a window and their view from the piano is a large oak tree which is in our garden. Their problem is that they are saying the many birds nests that are in this tree are distracting and these wild birds are making too much noise therefore distracting them from the piano.

There isn't even a suggestion in the note of what they'd like us to do about it. Not that I would even consider taking any action towards the tree but FFS what on earth are they doing? They don't have a bloody leg to stand on??

Grin He's a wonder isn't he!

pipsqueak25 · 23/10/2016 15:23

why isn't he removing them before he goes ?? bet you are looking forward to the yacht photos peace and quiet - if he goes.

TiddlesUpATree · 23/10/2016 15:24

Wow he really is the gift that keeps on giving.

Lilianna123 · 23/10/2016 15:24

I expect he wants to ensure everyone on his fb sees every single yacht photo hence the later removals ha ha ha haaaaaaaa

Poor Andy's wife Sad

pipsqueak25 · 23/10/2016 15:27

are these photos coming from else where on the internet ? not just pasted onto his fb page ? surely not that would be cheating Grin but YOU would know if they were away or not....

Soubriquet · 23/10/2016 15:32

Anyone else waiting for a daily mail sad face with Andy and his piano with his fingers in his ears glaring at the oak tree?

Maybe a picture of his yacht featured on the article somewhere

Spadequeen · 23/10/2016 15:32

It does sound like more than general nuttiness, that there has been a sudden increase in his weird behaviour. Can you ask Mrs Andy if she's ok and if he's ok as your concerned about his recent outbursts

pipsqueak25 · 23/10/2016 15:33

am i the only one who thinks this should be in mn classics ? op should sell her story to the papers, that'll really make andy's day, he might even get 'discovered' or locked up Grin

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 23/10/2016 15:39

Keep screenshots of the Facebook posts, to go with your diary of the nutty behaviour. And the notes. Just in case you need all this in future.

Agree with asking the wife if she's ok. And check in with the other neighbours while they are away!

Sorry just to clear up Andy is actually holidaying in Bora Bora as we speak.

Fancy being on a yacht out in the tropics but sat moaning about your neighbours on fb Grin

LeninaCrowne · 23/10/2016 16:04

Join Facebook as "birds in your neighbour's tree" and send him a friend request!

pipsqueak25 · 23/10/2016 16:07

bora bora sounds about right for this idiot Grin

DeputyPecksBentBeak · 23/10/2016 16:15

Halloween Grin Bless him, poor old Andy really is delusional isn't he. The fact that he stated his problem truthfully in his Facebook post just shows how much he believes he's right

FurryLittleTwerp · 23/10/2016 16:22

He's deranged!!

Can you copy the FB stuff? Might be useful later.

FurryLittleTwerp · 23/10/2016 16:25

Like the idea of the FB friend request from the birds.

or from Cat(herine) Dogg-Teezer perhaps?

Doublemint · 23/10/2016 16:54

He's a man obsessed Grin this thread is ace

Blatherskite · 23/10/2016 16:57

Oh please, please, please paste his reply here. I really need to see how he's phrasing 'I put a piano by my window and the birds are distracting me but rather than moving the piano, I want my neighbour to cut the tree down' and expecting that to sound sane!

Love that his mates are telling him that he's deranged

acatcalledjohn · 23/10/2016 18:10

I think we should change his name to Billy.

It's only kind to prepare him for his friend-free life.

FurryLittleTwerp · 23/10/2016 18:39

He's lost the plot - I shouldn't be surprised if he cuts the tree down in a rage once he's back from holiday. I assume he's used to getting this own way?

I'm worried about the poor oak Sad

pipsqueak25 · 23/10/2016 18:39

this has all the makings of a great sit com, any script writers out there ?

FurryLittleTwerp · 23/10/2016 18:39

*his own way

helpimitchy · 23/10/2016 18:47

Please do secure your garden to ensure he can't gain access and arrange to have it cut down in your absence Sad you perhaps need to alert your other neighbours and give them your mobile number so they can contact you if tree surgeons ever turn up unannounced. He may be seriously losing the plot and could do something deranged given half the chance.

Poor tree
Poor birds

The sooner he's committed the better Confused

Adnerb95 · 23/10/2016 19:14

"Their shit don't stink" is strange wording for someone who i assume is highly educated - is he quoting a film or something?
