Another neighbourly dispute, same neighbours that claimed our cat was teasing their dog, and the same neighbours who accused us of stealing blackberries off their bush that happened to grow over my fence.

Well if I hadn't thought they were ridiculous before, I definitely do now.

Woke up this morning to find a note through the door saying they have had a new piano delivered and due to space they were limited on places it could go indoors (not our problem) they are saying where they have placed it is under a window and their view from the piano is a large oak tree which is in our garden. Their problem is that they are saying the many birds nests that are in this tree are distracting and these wild birds are making too much noise therefore distracting them from the piano.

There isn't even a suggestion in the note of what they'd like us to do about it. Not that I would even consider taking any action towards the tree but FFS what on earth are they doing? They don't have a bloody leg to stand on??

My parents are 79 and 76 so don't need the hassle of most recent idiot that bought next door house, they live in tiny village and unfortunately this house got built next to them 10 years ago but it's not as straight forward as that. The land my parents own also runs below the new house by the river so this new house has no river access.
The whole valley is old oak etc woodland and on the land below the new house are 9 massive oaks all with protection orders in them.no issue as my parents like as it is.
The new neighbours of 18 months dont like trees lol. Real clever by house at end of woods under 9 big oaks lol he's out daily with his leaf Hoover lol. He sends notes telling my parents not to let there leaves go on his garden lol plus lots more lol total morons.
House is built in very steep land too so it's like living on a cliff, each person buying the house has asked buy my parents land and think that they should sell them cheap lol all nuts and all dint stay long

First time I've managed to come on here in weeks! As soon as we started to ignore Andy his notes and things calmed down however I did notice him peering out his window into my garden the other morning with a note pad Grin

I suggest you organize a large group of carolers and stand under his window and sing loudly.......out of tune......preferably when he's 'practicing' his piano. May I suggest the following for your repertoire (they've all got birds somewhere in the lyrics)?

12 Days of Christmas
Carol of the Birds (aka Whence Comes this Rush of Wings)
Christmas Brings Joy to Every Heart
The Friendly Beasts
Sleigh Ride

You can finish up with a rousing rendition of "Let's All Sing Like the (Christmas) Birdies Sing".

We have been housesitting my sisters in Essex for a few weeks so there's been no correspondence from Andy!

Arrived home and what a welcome sight it was to see Jane and Andy struggling to get a 8ft Christmas tree out the back of his flash car Grin

Is this going to be the onset of another set of issues? No doubt it will involve a Christmas tree

Could someone kindly link to the cat and dog thread please?

Thread is amazing, have whizzed through some of it but maybe someone's already said - maybe he had to take 'retirement ' early as he was being odd at work? I do know a tragic case where someone got and died of dementia in their fifties.

Oh how I love those googly eyes Grin

Partly inspired by another thread here, how about decorating the tree with about 250 strands of Christmas lights?

Dartmoor - our neighbours asked if they could TRIM our lovely 6ft beech hedge A BIT so they could put up their scaffolding for some building work, yep, you guessed it chainsawed to ground level whilst we weren't there Angry

Jane may be putting a brave front on things, and her life may actually be horrible.

You are so nice to tell her she is welcome any time. Hopefully she will do that.

Keep on logging every incident. Don't throw away any notes.
