I have a 15 day old who had an overnight hospital stay last week for poor feeding and weight loss,he has really improved since. However his toddler sister came home with a tummy bug Friday and today newborn ds has not fed since 8.30am. He vomited badly at 9am, again at 11.30 and has rejected all feeds no matter how much we tried. Syringe fed him at 6pm and he projectiled it all back up. He also has a temp of 35.3 and barely woken all day.

I don't know what to do :(

Morning OP. Has your husband finished work? Is he with you. Frightening for you to go through - you did the right thing going to A&EFlowers

MothersGrim · 17/10/2016 08:07

Don't let them put your bed away. They'll try and insist, just say you're very tired and need a little longer, you can put it up later.

Introvertedbuthappy · 17/10/2016 08:11

Oh no poor thing.

I hope the doctors figure out what's wrong soon.

At least he's getting fluids and calories in him at the moment.

Is DH there yet?

DesperatelySeeking2016 · 17/10/2016 09:52

How worrying for you. I hope when the doctors do their rounds they are able to reassure you Flowers

Signoritawhocansway · 17/10/2016 10:04

Thinking of you. Its not nice, watching procedures on your small baby, but you're in the right place. Hugs.

AliceInUnderpants · 17/10/2016 10:30

Hope they work it out soon so they can treat him, and you can get home x

MrsSparkles · 17/10/2016 10:33

Hope you're both doing OK this morning. I know when my dd was in at 3 weeks it was amazing the difference the antibiotics made.

Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions, the nurses were great at answering silly questions xx

chattygranny · 17/10/2016 10:39

Thinking of you, been worrying about you but it sounds as if you are in the right place. Your comments about the paediatric nurses brought a tear to my eye, my DD is one and I know how hard they work, and how little they earn, so it's always lovely to hear. Babies can go down hill so fast but they can also rally very fast so fingers crossed for you and your little one.

Tiredtomybones · 17/10/2016 11:09

Keep asking questions OP and don't be afraid to offload to us too. Lots of us have been where you are right now. That doesn't make it easier for you, but we are here for you.

SuperBoppy · 17/10/2016 11:30

No offense but I'd be calling 111 for advice instead of canvassing opinion on an internet forum!!
