No chocolate allowed but I will allow cream ones Grin.
I'm off chocolate and want a nice biscuit to have with my cup of tea.

Shortbread or a rich tea

tanfield90 · 12/10/2016 21:31

Anything except for digestives and rich tea. I've never understood the appeal of those biccies. Too bland and boring.

Cocolepew · 12/10/2016 22:16

I've just had my rich tea with a pound of butter, cup of tea and a tangerine.
Lovely.

Ooh, Coco. I have butter, tea & tangerines. Now all I need is Rich Tea!

Greensleeves · 13/10/2016 00:55

malted milk

Ginger parkins and rich tea for dunking Smile

How do you eat yours????
Bourbons/custard creams - un-lid them and eat each half separately

Iced party rings - poke on finger and nibble round

Jammy dodgers - nibble up to the jam centre then eat the middle bit

Now I want to get up and have a cuppa and a biccie!

Does anyone remember in the 80s there were these coop own brand biscuits called milk biscuits?
They were round and made up of lots of little circles (larger circles than Lincoln).
I used to nibble each circle one by one until i got to the middle and had the final circle! Memories sitting in front of the gas fire at my nans house Smile

Rich Tea or hobnobs

FabFiveFreddie · 13/10/2016 01:42

Rich Tea are totally underrated, but it has to be the fingers for me as you get fewer bloated crumbs at the bottom of the mug.

For savory versions I love love love Tuc biscuits. The dogs'.

There are some nice old fashioned tangerines about just now.
I'm imagining the pound of butter stirred into your tea as Tibetans are supposed to do with yak butter.
Enjoy !

Ineedabiscuit · 13/10/2016 10:41

Abernethy definitely, they are so delicious !
Difficult to get but sometimes in Waitrose or usedtobe 99p stores (not the same now as Poundland !)

amusedbush · 13/10/2016 10:57

Fox's Crunch Creams or a Biscoff. My hairdresser makes amazing coffee and gives two Biscoffs, which takes the sting out of paying £40 for a cut and blow dry Grin

Sport biscuits! The ones with stick men playing cricket, rowing etc! Perfect for dunking in a brew (I am well aware that they may come under the rather dull category of shortbread, though).
