No chocolate allowed but I will allow cream ones Grin.
I'm off chocolate and want a nice biscuit to have with my cup of tea.

Border Biscuits Vienesse Whirls - best biscuits ever.

MWestie · 11/10/2016 10:17

I thought Simmers had stopped making their addictive Choc Chip Gingers a while ago...can you still get them??

BowieFan · 11/10/2016 10:17

I have recently discovered the wonders of Aldi's gluten and wheat free cookies (I didn't buy them on purpose, we're not vegans!) and they are the best cookies I've ever tasted. DP thinks I'm weird and I'm fully aware I'm probably a cookie snob but they are gorgeous and I would seriously consider trading in DP if it meant a constant supply of them.

Ginger crunch creams.

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 11/10/2016 10:39

Lincoln biscuits were always the last biscuits left in the biscuit tin in our house

Horrible bumpy things they just look wrong

The are slightly more edible than lemon puffs

DarlingCoffee · 11/10/2016 15:02

Nice biscuits, the ones with Nice written on them. Divine.

Janey50 · 11/10/2016 16:51

No,Lincoln biscuits are not at all exotic OP. But I've just googled them and it looks like they aren't around any more. They were a the of shortcake.

Toddlerteaplease · 11/10/2016 16:58

Chocolate flavour custard creams. Amazing!!

Toddlerteaplease · 11/10/2016 16:59

Not forgetting party rings!

Cocolepew · 11/10/2016 17:02

Abbey Crunch has been gone for years.
If you get a hot drink in the M&S cafe you get a mini biscuit that tastes just like one though.

Can you still get lemon puffs?!? I thought they'd long gone. As for plain biscuits I like most of them but the best are speculoos - lovely crispy biscuits you get with coffee. At least I think they're speculoos.

Cocolepew · 11/10/2016 17:47

You can get various makes of lemon puffs but they aren't proper ones, they are not as sticky or lemony

EastMidsGPs · 11/10/2016 17:48

I like those with jam in .. the ones you get in a mixed packet of biscuits at meetings.
I also like the iced ring biscuits from said packet.

Can you still get iced gems dies anyone know? They bring back memories of my gran, she always had a bag of them for us when we visited.

'Remembers sitting under the table biting the icing off the biscuit base'

Cocolepew · 11/10/2016 18:01

Yes Iced Gems are still around.

OP posts:
Chrisinthemorning · 11/10/2016 18:02

Cocolepew · 11/10/2016 18:17

I really want an Abbey Crunch now. Hadn't thought about them properly for years, I must have just assumed they were chuntering along - and now this.

Digestives, hobnobs or custard creams for 'plain' biscuits.

But for the ultimate in dunking biscuits it has to be Tim tams, they are like penguins only lighter biscuit and much nicer. If you nibble off diagonal corners you can use them as a straw to suck up the tea/coffee, the second you can taste the drink you have to shove the whole lot in your mouth as you have probably less then a second before the whole thing disintegrates into a soggy biscuity mess but if you are quick enough it literally melts in your mouth and is amazing. Not one to do in polite company though as you look a little ridiculous but any kids think it is hilarious to try!
