along with half a 400g run of baked beans and chips.

Need to settle an arguement.

Cheers

Yes!

ShoeEatingMonster · 04/10/2016 19:41

Yes!

mycatstares · 04/10/2016 19:41

Yes! That's far too much.

I'd give a 3yr old 2 fish fingers.

BitchPeas · 04/10/2016 19:41

Yep. That's what 6ft 17st DH would eat! Shock

TeenAndTween · 04/10/2016 19:41

Well my 12yo DD would have 3 or 4.
So 6 seems like a lot to me.

WhatamessIgotinto · 04/10/2016 19:41

Far too much!

Oliversmumsarmy · 04/10/2016 19:41

Yes

Mermaid36 · 04/10/2016 19:41

Yes, I think so. I'd eat 6 fishfingers and easily half a tin of beans....

DerekSprechenZeDick · 04/10/2016 19:41

Depends on the appetite of the child

My sister could eat 6 happily with chips and beans.

My brother could probably do 4

MammyHester9116 · 04/10/2016 19:42

Yes!

SocksRock · 04/10/2016 19:42

Yes! My 3yo struggles to finish 2 with chips and beans

OuchLegoHurts · 04/10/2016 19:42

Yes! I would give my 8 year old daughter 2 fish fingers and about 2 tablespoons of beans, and two waffles or a slice of toast.

BigMamaFratelli · 04/10/2016 19:42

Yes way too much for a three year old.

FlopIsMyParentingGuru · 04/10/2016 19:42

On the face of it, yes possibly. But better to be eating fish than loads of sugary treats after.

Hard to answer without the full story. Did they all get eaten? If so then maybe meals across the day need balancing more. But, as I said, better than cake or ice cream after.

albertcampionscat · 04/10/2016 19:42

No. I mean, every day and for a sedentary child and with equally big breakfast and lunch and lots of snacks might not be great, but I assume you're talking about the kind of three year old that runs amd runs and runs.

OuchLegoHurts · 04/10/2016 19:42

When she was 3 she would have 2 with one waffle and some veg

pinkpantsrock · 04/10/2016 19:43

my ds (age3) would be offered 2 but prob only eat 1, he doesn't like chips but has with small handful pasta, 2 veg and normal bit of cheese

Lighthouseturquoise · 04/10/2016 19:43

Way too much. My 8 year old boy has 2 fish fingers, 2-3 tablespoons of beans and 2 waffles/a handful of chips.

JasperDamerel · 04/10/2016 19:43

I certainly wouldn't give it as a standard serving. But there have been times, during growth spurts, when my DC could have been hungry enough for that to be the amount they needed.

gillybeanz · 04/10/2016 19:43

Yes, look at the content what the child is actually consuming besides the fish?

It's not how many but the nutrition of each one.
How much fat, sugar, salt etc. What percentage of their daily recommended allowance is this?

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 04/10/2016 19:43

blimey ouch, my 9 year old DD would be Hmm about only 2 tablespoons of beans!

shaggedthruahedgebackwards · 04/10/2016 19:45

Not if he's in the middle of a growth spurt or has been really active

Depends on the child though

If he's eating that amount on a regular basis and is on the chubby side then yes it is too much!

lightgreenglass · 04/10/2016 19:45

I give my 3 year old 3 fish fingers and sometimes he'll ask for another one, only with a scoop of beans and 2 mini waffles. That's a big dinner though and not a normal meal. He wouldn't be able to do what you're suggesting. I would but I would feel sick afterwards.

What Jasper said.
