To think I have discovered an amazing new 'thing'?

Or is it already known and mainstream? I do hope it's not and I can copyright it and make my fortune.

Conditioner BEFORE Shampoo!

If done the traditional way my hair goes lank and greasy within 12 hours. Do it backwards and it's all soft and swishy and non-lardy for at least a whole day.

I am truly a genius.

Not obligatory, but lots of people don't know what they're buying.

Nestle own L'Oréal and Kerastase (and lots of other companies). People have been boycotting Nestle since the 70s. They still don't adhere to WHO regulations on baby milk which results in the deaths and sickness of babies in the developing world.

Did everyone miss that I said my DDs are MIXED race and especially DD1 had extremely thick and curly hair....tighter curls than in that photo cote -that is more like DD2's hair. Or in fact my naturally wavy Caucasian hair...
You don't 'dry comb' it - you spray with water first - you could even wet it in the shower -just don't use shampoo every time.
And as for Oh sure smile I know people like you who never wash their hair. It's amazing that they think it doesn't smell or look dirty.
I did say it was vile for a few months - and then genuinely it was fine...I was surprised - I was about to give up when suddenly it came good...
But I couldn't go through it again - because for the first few months it was smelly and dirty...

OlennasWimple · 04/10/2016 17:31

Oh, didn't know Nestle own LOreal and Kerastase. I do already boycott them whenever possible except KitKats, they are my weak spot but I am a Garnier girl in any case

You can buy non-Nestle kit kats from Aldi and Lidl and probably the major supermarkets too.

Nestle own Garnier.

Oh fuck off DM sorry excuses for journos! Angry

And learn to read your numbers correctly: the article says this thread has amassed over 1000 comments, but as I type I am about to post comment number 156... Hmm

Mynestisfullofempty · 04/10/2016 17:59

HeCantBeSerious Nestlé owns 30% of L'Oréal which owns Garnier.

OlennasWimple · 04/10/2016 18:01

HeCan't - not in the UK, so no KitKat alternatives readily available (I limit my intake to one every couple of months...)

I didn't know that about Garnier. Just checked the bottle, and there's nothing on there either. Need to look for an alternative next time I need to buy more...

Which means Nestle make money out of it, so it's on the boycott list.

You'd be amazed the pies they have their evil fingers in.

hollinhurst84 · 04/10/2016 18:12

Depends on your hair I guess. I use conditioner in handfuls, from scalp to ends and often use just conditioner to wash. Never ever brush or comb it, I just use my fingers to rake the conditioner through
You could probably tip an entire bottle of oil on my scalp and it would still be dry Grin

IceBeing · 04/10/2016 18:44

oh frickin great. Quoted in the daily fail....the SHAME.

SlottedSpoon · 04/10/2016 19:04

IceBeing · 04/10/2016 19:31

VerbenaGirl · 04/10/2016 19:33

"You don't 'dry comb' it - you spray with water first - you could even wet it in the shower"

And then what do I do with a full mane of wet hair? Twice a day, you say?

Alternatively, I can just go on washing my hair twice a week, combing through it with conditioner, then leaving it to dry into clean, fresh, gorgeous curls Smile

CoteDAzur · 05/10/2016 07:06

Daily Mail should hire some real journalists who would, hopefully, find & publish real news.

Who knows, yet might be able to read properly, too. 7000 posts, no less Hmm

mathanxiety · 05/10/2016 18:20

If you comb your hair through twice daily it won't end up in one nasty rasta knot.

Mine is curly, not wavy, and non-mixed. Combing through it wet or dry would result in broken combs and probably several comb bits lost in the giant frizzball.

I comb through it using my fingers in the shower after I put conditioner in. Then it air dries after an application of either leave in argan conditioner to the ends or some diluted gel.

Folks/strokes.
