The news... every damn time

Champagneformyrealfriends · 29/09/2016 18:43

Potato when they all held hands? That got me too. DH often refers to me as an emotional time bomb-I cry at a lot of daft things Grin

Watching you tube vidoes on the everyday intense farming that goes on in the UK. Thousands of male chicks being thrown into blenders, pigs in cages etc. That's self infected I suppose, I really shouldn't look.

Champagneformyrealfriends · 29/09/2016 18:46

Suffolk Shock I'll avoid those ones-think they'd scar me for life.

Young women competing at a top level in sports.

SuffolkBumkin · 29/09/2016 18:48

I think your right Champagne!

Shesinfashion · 29/09/2016 18:50

The ABBA song "Slipping through my finger's". Since having my daughter's I sob every time I hear it.

TotallyOblivious · 29/09/2016 18:51

The songs: How To Save A Life - The Fray & Brian Adams - Everything I Do

I cry every time Blush

Greaterthanthesumoftheparts · 29/09/2016 18:56

Children singing Christmas carols
Amazing grace
Marching bands
A player proposing to his girlfriend at the end of our local ice hockey match last night
Long lost family
Love your garden

I am an emotional wreck at most things. Almost cried telling my boss I was resigning today (and I'm super happy about that!). My DP isn't English (although almost fluent) and once asked me if Long Lost Family was refreshing for my tear ducts!

WarwickDavisAsPlates · 29/09/2016 18:58

That bit in Harry Brown when he plays chess on his own after his friend dies.

The song at the end of "the wedding singer"

In criminal minds when Jjs son dressed up as Reid for Halloween.

When DD sings that "hush little baby" song.

The end of cars, where lightning McQueen pushes the King over the end of the race after he crashes.

DH says I cry at everything and I'm starting to think that's true.

MrsHathaway · 29/09/2016 18:59

S Club 7, Reach For The Stars - because the year I worked in a school that was the song the leavers did for their final performance. All about friends forever supporting each other as they go forward into a bright new future ...

WhatamessIgotinto · 29/09/2016 19:00

God so many things!

There's a very old lady near me who walks past my house every day with her equally old dog. She seems to be getting slower every day and it makes me upset. I want to make her come and live with us.

Bring Him Home from Les Mis.

Bagpipes.

Children singing Christmas songs.

Charity ads on telly.

Welsh male voice choir.

Baby otters.

I teach groups of 9/10 year old children who struggle with sounds and reading. One little lad struggled for weeks and weeks and was getting quite upset about it. He suddenly 'got it' last week and I was really tearful whilst trying to be all professional. Had to go and have a moment in the cupboard - his little face just set me off.

alphabook · 29/09/2016 19:10

That Skittles advert where everything the man touched turned to Skittles and he couldn't even touch his newborn child. It didn't make me cry but it made me feel really sad!

birdling · 29/09/2016 19:15

I just cried at the end of the wheels on the bus song, because the bus goes to sleep.
But I am pregnant and hormonal, so perhaps I can be excused at the moment Blush

eggyface · 29/09/2016 19:21

Omg literally ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Except S Club 7. I'm not a monster.

FairyWailsAndNurseryCrimes · 29/09/2016 19:22

Mongooses (mongeese?!?) the very thought of them makes my cry. 'D'h sometimes pretends there's one under the sofa Angry just typing this has made me teary. - Disclaimer I have never met a mongoose and as we live in Scotland it seems unlikely that there's any marauding around right now.

MrsHathaway · 29/09/2016 19:24

But eggy THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

ShinyDiscoBalls · 29/09/2016 19:25

The song 'You are my sunshine'...I try and sing it to my DS and I can't get through it without crying! My mum used to sing it to me when I was little and for some reason it makes me really emotional Confused

VioletRoar · 29/09/2016 19:26

Being in a church. I get overwhelmed and cry. I'm not even a Christian.

onecrazycook · 29/09/2016 19:27

I burst into tears at work once, when the customer at my till called my Indian colleague (who was only about 16) a "wog"

HazelBite · 29/09/2016 19:29

The dogs Trust advert with the knitted toy, gets me every time.

StarlingMurmuration · 29/09/2016 19:31

The Darke arrangement of In The Bleak Midwinter. It's the last couple of lines, give me goosebumps and a lump in the throat.

maddiemookins16mum · 29/09/2016 19:31

They played "slipping through my fingers" by ABBA as an Golden Oldie on Steve Wright this week.....the words are amazing.

hillyhilly · 29/09/2016 19:32

This thread's done it for me!

BoyFromTheBigBadCity · 29/09/2016 19:33

The lion king. Every time.

I volunteer with special olympics, and at the end of every competition the athletes song 'we are the champions' and I cry every time.
