Virtually every time I think about Terry Wogan I well up. Watching the tribute show was embarrassing.

And young boys being all eager and keen and sweet. I went to an open day for a school last Sat and these 9/10 year olds in big blazers telling me all the things they love about their school had me sniffing all morning.

Children all singing together at school plays/nativities etc. Even if it's pants. It's their innocent voices raised in song...just gets me every time.

When small children are just so excited and their little hands go waggle and they shut their eyes. I don't know if anyone older than 3 or 4 can be so purely joyful.

Dd checks I had my ancient soft toy tucked in with me overnight "peepin out, tugging da blanket, giving mumme hugs". She thinks teddy's "real".* And wants to make sure we are both sleeping well.

*So do I deep down.
