I'm 16 weeks pg and first noticed symptoms about a week before my missed AF. Friends and family disbelieve this and seem to think I must have imagined the symptoms Hmm so, out of interest when were your first symptoms of pregnancy and what were they?

Numb finger tips and the utter exhaustion.

oldlaundbooth · 29/09/2016 18:08

Cataclysmic diarrhoea. Lots of fun.

StarkintheSouth · 29/09/2016 18:57

I must have been about a week pregnant and I got really bad hives all over my legs. Didn't think much of that but then the week after was very headachey and thirsty for about four days in a row. Then around 2 and a half weeks pregnant at the most I started feeling very nauseous for about 5 days. That's when I knew and that was about 5 days before my period was due. I finally did a test the day before my period was due and it was positive. So I knew very early!!!!

Dizzybintess · 29/09/2016 19:28

2 days before missed af I had a christening and ordered a vodka Diet Coke at the bar and it tasted like rat poison so that was my first heads up
I had horrific cramping on the day af was due and felt super sick straight away. I ended up with hyperemesis gravidum so that was pleasant.

We are TTC at the moment and I'm on my first month of clomid (DD age 5 was a clomid baby too)
I am 5 DPO and had a bit of odd stuff today on wiping and I'm wondering if its implantation bleeding.

Boiing · 29/09/2016 20:00

I definitely had symptoms starting a week before my period was due. I couldn't stop eating cherries and tomatoes, ate loads more than usual, and my sense of smell went crazy - I couldn't stand to be anywhere near a couple of colleagues (BO&smoking). When I found out I was pregnant it all made much more sense!

DancingPenguin1 · 29/09/2016 20:26

Very itchy arms and legs from about 3 weeks, didn't twig it was because I was pregnant.

Coffeelover56 · 29/09/2016 20:33

My first symptom was crying my eyes out because I'd smudged my nail varnish. I was so upset about it that DP repainted them for me (bless him). Then I smudged that too and burst into tears again.

StrawberrytallCake · 29/09/2016 20:34

Week 2 diarrhoea

After that - coughing and gagging at aerosols and brushing my teeth. Also consistent grumbling pain similar to period pain.

ShesAStar · 29/09/2016 20:38

Tingling nipples, both times!

NickyEds · 29/09/2016 20:51

First baby- hangover disproportionate to booze drunk Blush. No other symptoms from then on though.
Second baby- nausea, exhaustion, sore boobs, back ache, wanting to eat chalk or plater dust, dizziness. All a 3-4 weeks pregnant and, with the exception of the nausea which thankfully subsided at 12 weeks, all carried on until she was born.

thedogsvagina · 29/09/2016 20:52

I swear I felt implantation. I've been told that it's impossible for me to have felt that but there you go. I swear that I did. I also think that I can feel ovulation every month.

DeaganHouse · 29/09/2016 21:15

The tiredness!! Noticed it two days before my missed period. 26 weeks in and it hasn't gone yet!

tinkletinklelittlestar · 29/09/2016 21:26

Big sore boobs and very tired the second time. We were trying - it only took once! Just a wee bit longer as a family of three would have been nice. Ah well.

Lambly · 29/09/2016 21:52

Heartburn that made me wake up in the middle of the night for hours at a time

IrregularCommentary · 29/09/2016 21:58

5 days before my period was due I felt absolutely overwhelmingly tired out of nowhere, was in bed asleep by 8pm. Took another 3 days for a test to show as positive.

FedUpBird · 29/09/2016 22:03

With both of my pregnancies I noticed several red spots pop up on my belly, look like little blood blisters...was very weird

WhooooAmI24601 · 29/09/2016 22:05

My first symptom with DS1 was constant nausea. Never sickness, but just that stomach-churning nausea that never stopped.

With DS2 I went off Marmite and had previously loved it to the point of madness (think tablespoon in a jar type situation) and almost 6 years later I still can't touch the stuff.

nicp123 · 29/09/2016 22:58

My first ever pregnancy symptom was a revolting, strange, tight feel
from my stomach after starting my first cigarette that day. I can clearly remember putting the cigarette away almost immediately thinking "I'm definitely pregnant!"
NEVER - ever smoked again and to this day cigarettes' smoke makes me feel sick.

OhTheRoses · 29/09/2016 23:19

I

NameChange30 · 29/09/2016 23:30

About a week after conception I had a really vivid nightmare and DH woke me up because I was screaming the house down and he was terrified.

A few days later we were at a social event and someone poured me a huge glass of sparkling wine which I took one sip from and then left because it tasted disgusting (it could just have been cheap horrible wine, but it could have been my tastes changing too).

I didn't really notice any other symptoms, I was trying not to symptom-spot because I didn't want to get my hopes up and drive myself crazy.

Felt a bit queasy at one point but put it down to eating a big lunch (although I can normally eat loads with no issue!)

POAS the day after my period was due (quite proud of my patience for not testing before) and it was a clear positive. Only ever took the one test!

After that I had more symptoms, namely exhaustion and very sore boobs. Also felt a bit queasy at times but no real morning sickness.

ICJump · 29/09/2016 23:39

Going off coffee.

I even did a test once after not likely coffee. It was negative. I re did the test about 10 days later positive
