I'm 16 weeks pg and first noticed symptoms about a week before my missed AF. Friends and family disbelieve this and seem to think I must have imagined the symptoms Hmm so, out of interest when were your first symptoms of pregnancy and what were they?

Thickened cervical mucus! I had ivf so was alert to every tiny thing and had a blood test two weeks after transfer.

Witchend · 29/09/2016 14:44

Feeling sick, being sick...

Cousinit · 29/09/2016 14:49

With my first it was sore boobs. With my second I don't really remember early symptoms. With my third it was extreme tiredness. I was training for a 10k race and suddenly found I couldn't run anymore as I was so exhausted. This was all just before my AF was due.

LovelyAutumn · 29/09/2016 14:59

I had really erect nipples all the time from about 9dpo. I remember wondering if I was imagining it, but it continued for a little while after my BFP Grin

DuckingAunts · 29/09/2016 15:02

Going right off wine.

themumfairy · 29/09/2016 15:02

Mojito7 · 29/09/2016 15:02

Not being able to bear the smell or taste of tea - even in the very early weeks.

Gottagetmoving · 29/09/2016 15:03

Uncomfortable boobs were my first symptom.

FireflyGirl · 29/09/2016 15:13

TMI My first symptoms with both pregnancies was a change in discharge. Not thrush, no itching.

In fact, the second time, I'd been testing daily with sensitive tests as we were on honeymoon and it came up negative each time, so I was happily polishing off cocktails.

Had a lovely meal the night we arrived home, polished off a bottle of wine with DH, and when I went to the loo and saw my knickers I picked up an Internet cheapie I had leftover from the first pregnancy - ping, 2 lines straight away!

Crazycatladyloz82 · 29/09/2016 15:18

Sore boobs, funny smelling wee and able to smell everything

drummersmum · 29/09/2016 16:24

Vomiting. Real bad. After a Chinese meal in New York.

sparechange · 29/09/2016 16:27

Needing to get up in the night to wee
Not being able to string a sentence together - I would get halfway through and forget the word I wanted (like when hungover!)
Being grumpy as HELL with DH

All 3 or 4 days before my BFP

LovelyAutumn · 29/09/2016 16:30

Oh themumfairy I forgot my Fitbit detected that too! Smile My heart rate shot up by around 10bpm but that might've been around the time I got a BFP too.

JacquelineChan · 29/09/2016 16:31

headache , lower back pain, and milk tasted ''gone off''

Hastalapasta · 29/09/2016 16:35

Taste of metal in my mouth for hours and an unnatural feeling of Zen like calm ....

Wheelerdeeler · 29/09/2016 16:40

Sore boobs and just not feeling like me. In fact, the day I tested I was equally worried that if it was negative, that there was something seriously wrong with me!

SharkBastard · 29/09/2016 16:45

Had a hangover and felt sick...my hangovers consist of just feeling a bit tired. DH suggested I do a test, so I did and it was a dark immediate positive at 4w5d.

10w4d now and the hangover continues Sad

metaphoricus · 29/09/2016 16:49

Extreme thirst and tiredness at around 3 weeks.

StarlingMurmuration · 29/09/2016 16:50

An absence of my usual pre-period sore boobs.

MalbecAndLindt · 29/09/2016 16:52

The tiredness. Oh man, the tiredness. It was unreal. Lasted until about week 16/17.

Tingly nipples and my temper flared up (ranting and raving at a driver who pulled up when they shouldn't have then proceeded to drive at a snails pace...not my finest moment)

Even though period was due, it was definitely different. Still in shock when I saw two lines (first month TTC and convinced myself it wouldn't happen straight away. It did)

Fluffsnuts · 29/09/2016 16:54

implantation bleeding about 5 days before missed period. Back ache and feeling faint 3 days before period due.

zaalitje · 29/09/2016 17:06

Any of you that have had sore boobs as a symptom, have they stayed sore, or got better after a few days?

thatsn0tmyname · 29/09/2016 17:08

Strong period pains/ cramps when my period would have been due. Nausea from week 6, extreme tiredness from week 7.

maddiemookins16mum · 29/09/2016 17:08

Tiredness, achey boobs and headaches (BUT I got those symptoms before Aunty Ruby visited so put it down to PMT. Then missed a period (ignored it as was somewhat irregular). Then, and this was key, everything tasted off, like it had gone rotten, I had never experienced that. Put it down to a "bug", ignored it. Missed the next period 😳. Got more tired, felt sick. Then in an almost "Bridget Jones" lightbulb moment, I thought "feck, what if I'm pregnant". I literally threw up at the thought (40, no plans to have a baby!!!).
Did three tests the next day, all positive - I was ten weeks gone. Throughout the pregnancy, from almost 10 days post conception until about week 29, I felt like I had a funny taste in my mouth.

splendidglenda · 29/09/2016 17:09

Sense of smell was definitely increased a day or two before period due and then nausea and sickness at five or six weeks preg
