To think I'm not unreasonable to tell sister no to this baby name?

Loveheart Belle Princess.

That is what my sister has decided the baby shall be called. She refuses to accept that I have said no and has started to refer to her as that.

Her argument is that it's a really pretty name, princesses are cool and she can call her love for short which is nice.

I think at 6 she is old enough to be told fuck no and be banned from naming anything Grin

Or am I missing out and will regret not using said name?!

My daughter wanted to call the new baby Eyeshadow.

ArmySal · 22/09/2016 10:03

I like it Grin

My daughter wanted to call my baby boy Winter Knight. No.

MozarellaCheese · 22/09/2016 10:06

I actually really love it. :)

My 6 year old names his toys whatever their animal type is then our surname. So they are things like Bear [Cheese] and Lion {Cheese].

Swearwolf · 22/09/2016 10:09

Heh, my three year old wanted to call his baby sister Camper Van.

Please please please pretend to her that you've taken on her suggestion and love it and will definitely use it. My mum did this to me and my older brother when we wanted to name the new baby either Ethel Blue or Ethel Pink, depending on what it was. We were shocked and appalled when she brought home a Marcus...

A Friends brother named his baby Berlin Sky

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 22/09/2016 10:19

I quite like Berlin Blush

banivani · 22/09/2016 10:19

I dunno, think the spelling needs tweaking that's all.

Suggest Luvvharte Bel Prynsesse

Homebird8 · 22/09/2016 10:21

DS1's baby dolls were named Dosca and Frosca. When I asked why Frosca he replied, "Because it's a girls name, silly".

QuintessentialShadow · 22/09/2016 10:21

It has grown on me! Grin

Honeypickle · 22/09/2016 10:24

My two daughters have suggested names for our third - my eldest has chosen "Baby Rosebelle" and my youngest has plumped for "Slug".
Oh, which way to go??!

PeppaPigTastesLikeBacon · 22/09/2016 10:24

Its names like this that you HATE growing up but wouldn't probably love it as an adult Hmm Grin

PeppaPigTastesLikeBacon · 22/09/2016 10:25

WOULD probably love that was supposed to say. Apparently my phone thinks you would also hate it as an adult

GeorgiePeachie · 22/09/2016 10:28

MY parents let my sister name me, luckily just a middle name. I got lucky I was a second away from being called pebbles.

I both love and hate my middle name.

FrancesNiadova · 22/09/2016 10:29

When my DS was 3 and I was expecting my 2nd, DS wanted to call the baby Pingu.
I rather liked it! (We didn't though!) Grin

MrsHathaway · 22/09/2016 10:35

DC3 was known as Garry in utero. My mw was a bit disappointed when he didn't even have it as a middle name once born. She had really bonded with Garry.

x2boys · 22/09/2016 10:40

i agree with your son i also think things should have a proper name and i think Nathan is an excellent name for a hamster my friends son named his Stephen!Grin

katemess12 · 22/09/2016 10:51

YABU. Grin

At that age, my Baby Born was named Rat. If I'd had the chance to name an actual person, I think I'd still have gone with Rat.

ItchyFoot · 22/09/2016 10:52

If I let dd name soon to be dd2 she'd probably be called NO!

Cloudspider · 22/09/2016 10:52

I know a rabbit called Big Bad Barry and he is.

freshstart22 · 22/09/2016 10:54

My elf on the shelf is Sweetie Loveheart. It's so 2015 in my opinion.

PeppaAteMySoul · 22/09/2016 10:55

My 3 year old wants to call his little brother Thumba. Whenever I tell him the actual name he says "Silly Mummy. No baby is Thumba."
It might just be pregnancy hormones but Thumba is growing on me ha.

x2boys · 22/09/2016 10:56

Butteredparsn1ps · 22/09/2016 10:57

Have you tried the Mumsnet test?

Dr Loveheart Belle Princess.

Professor Loveheart Belle Princess.

Dr Loveheart does have a certain ring to it.

FloweryTwat · 22/09/2016 10:58

Dn wanted to call DD2 Saaaaaarndra. In the tone of voice used for Cassandra in Only Fools.

DerekSprechenZeDick · 22/09/2016 10:59

She would never be a judge with such a name!
