Grin

It's a beautiful day and the sun is shining and I want to run across the hills with a dog.

I have no dog Sad

So AIBU to make a huge soppy fuss of dogs I meet on my travels and not care when they place their muddy paws on my shoulders and stare lovingly into my eyes ... ?

love this thread..it has made me smile...5 pages of love for our dogs is such an uplift after pages of miserable bitchy posts....i even got critisised yesterday on the archers thread...so sticking to pet pages only from now on :) thank you OP for this thread of happiness

Dogs are so annoying - I hate them and their stupid barking. I am currently being driven mad by a dog that my numpty neighbours leave in the yards all day - barking and howling. I will never understand peoples love for dog, its sad and a bit pathetic.

Theredjellubean, the bitchy posts are just starting to come in now Grin

I'm so dog broody! I rent and my landlady has said no to pets unfortunately. Every time we see a dog me and my OH point it out and talk about dreams of what breeds etc we'd like when we're able.

OP, I haven't read the entire thread so apologies if I'm repeating something that's already been said, but could you volunteer for something like the Cinnamon Trust or for your local Dogs' Home?

Here is our little ball of fluff, I couldn't imagine not having him around and can't believe it took this long to get a dog ourselves

YANBU.

My next puppy's mum is refusing to get up the duff and it's killing me 😡

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 13/09/2016 13:47

Yanbu!

I have my cranky old lady and I love her but I long for another dog. One who I can take to the park without needing a muzzle and can play with my child. As it is, she just hates everyone else but me and I'd love to be one of those happy dog owners frolicking around in the park.

Plus, I challenge anyone to walk past a Lab or Golden retriever puppy and not die from love overload.

Can I ask for some puppy advice please? What is the best flea prevention treatment and same for worming? The breeder was using front line but it doesn't get good reviews, the vet sold me one when I took her for her vaccinations, I think it was called Parovex? But they literally sold me one treatment of it, am I right in thinking it's supposed to be done every 2-4 weeks? Sorry I'm finding all this flea/ worm business a bit confusing!

SoupDragon · 13/09/2016 15:32

I use Advocate plus a tick collar for SoupDogg.

missyB1 · 13/09/2016 16:08

Thanks soup dragon I will have a look at advocate. She has her next vaccinations on the 23rd so will ask vet a few more questions.
