A drop of Nelsons blood wouldnt do us any harm
This is thread 15 so no need for alarm
Those lifeboats and guards save us from the sea
We should all thank them as we drink our cup of tea
While they're out there volunteering looking out for you and me

Also, don't listen to crap from other people. After our wedding, I was invited to DH's relative's wedding. No children. The wedding was 27 Dec. I had to leave my 5 yr old daughter with my mum in Boxing Day to attend this wedding which didn't even last a year.

After that, we go separately if there is a no kids rule and we can't get a babysitter. DH went to weddings in Shanghai and Hong Kong, I didn't go.

I want to a family wedding in June with just DD as DH stayed behind with DS. That's the way it goes.

It's probably best to have a maximum number of guests and to include the kids in that number. It will focus your DP's mind I you say "OK, so and so's kids can come, but that means we can't invite X & Y."

Xmasfairy86 · 11/09/2016 13:27

Sounds like a plan vanilla. I know it's only 2 kids. But if SIL has a baby by then (doubtful, she's not found mr right) or if my DB has any it will be a few more. Then does it stretch to my cousins who I'm/we are much closer to than his DB. MINEFIELD!!!!

Plus, even if our kids are invited we say no thanks. Find a babysitter and have lovely couples time get totally shitfaced and destroy a hotel roomWink

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 11/09/2016 13:36

I had just my 7month DS at my wedding (he was an only at that point). I didn't invite any of my brothers DC. We also didn't invite aunts/uncles/ cousins (ex DH's were a nightmare family).

My 7m DS interrupted the ceremony. When they asked if anyone knew of any reason we couldn't be married DS did some loud babbling, even though he wasn't a babbly baby. if only I'd listened to DS

doofus bertie puppy looks gorgeous!

vanilla jack russels tend to be good with people but are quite likely to be dog aggressive, if they haven't been well socialised as a pup.

AnnieOnnieMouse · 11/09/2016 13:43

You're dead right with the sgonz, Annie I'm happy to accept that as an alternative spelling of scons. Grin

I know this is the thread no one (including noone) replies to but will someone please PLEASE reply to my questions about DrSeth?!?!?

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 11/09/2016 14:35

So I have to teach story telling at school tomorrow. I have to tell the story of Theseus and the Minotaur without the book in front of me. Confused

jetSTAR · 11/09/2016 14:42

Cool Being I love storytelling, although I don't think I'm that good at it!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 11/09/2016 14:44

I don't mind it either but it's not a story I know all that well.

jetSTAR · 11/09/2016 14:50

What about props to help you remember the story, Crown for King Agaeus, string for maze, toy bull for minotaur, black and white cloth for the sails... Etc. Are you allowed a PowerPoint with pictures to help you?

jetSTAR · 11/09/2016 14:52

Aegeus?? Good job you are telling it not spelling it!!

jetSTAR · 11/09/2016 14:56

Xmas ditto what everybody else said about your wedding. Your (and DP's) day. I also wanted a child free wedding. We had my 2 godchildren, DH niece and a tiny newborn baby who was breastfeeding. Was ace. 🍀

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 11/09/2016 15:02

good luck being. I'm crap at story telling.

jet I forgot to say, thank you for all the dress pics. You're a star Star

Bettercallsaul1 · 11/09/2016 15:09

I love story telling - it appeals to my sense of drama! You should write the story out, in note form, in paragraphs, Being, with a number and heading for each one, and then memorise the key facts! Then learn the heading of each paragraph so, when you come to tell the story, the information is all there in your head and flows logically from paragraph to paragraph.

Bettercallsaul1 · 11/09/2016 15:10

It's a bit like learning up exam questions...!

VanillaSugarandChristmasSpice · 11/09/2016 15:31

Oh, he's so lovely Doofus - I want one! How old is he and does he need a cage? How many walks a day are you planning to give him?

Aww soooo cute 😀

GeekLove · 11/09/2016 15:39

Do I win a prize for being invisible in that managed to post a picture of myself in a bikini in Style and Beauty and No ONE commented.

Bettercallsaul1 · 11/09/2016 15:49

You sound just perfect for our thread, Geek! It consists of the invisible, saying nothing to no one.
