A drop of Nelsons blood wouldnt do us any harm
This is thread 15 so no need for alarm
Those lifeboats and guards save us from the sea
We should all thank them as we drink our cup of tea
While they're out there volunteering looking out for you and me

ItShouldHaveBeenJessmas · 10/09/2016 13:22

Jam first.

Nutella should be eaten with a spoon straight from the jar. Likewise peanut butter.

Although have never combined the two.... (goes to cupboard)

PrettyBlueDressForTheXmasBall · 10/09/2016 13:33

You eat peanut butter straight from the jar ShockShock?!? i agree nutella is only for eating from jars though

A Shanty for Sanity

Come, all you no hopers,
you jokers and rogues
we're on the road to nowhere,
let's find out where it goes
It might be a ladder to the stars, who knows
Come, all you no hopers,
you jokers and rogues.

Leave all your furrows in the fields where they lie
Your factories and offices;
kiss them all goodbye
Have a little faith in the dream maker in the sky
There's glory in believing in
and it's all in the beholder's eye.

Turn off your engines and slow down your wheels
Suddenly your master plan loses its appeal
Everybody knows that this reality's not real
So raise a glass to all things past and celebrate how good it feels.

Awash on the sea of our own vanity
We should rejoice in our individuality
Though it's gale force, let's steer a course for sanity

DS is having a massive strop in IKEA. I'm tempted to leave him here with the Swedish meatballs.

jetSTAR · 10/09/2016 14:27

Portia I'm enjoying listening to those sea shanties on YouTube!! I think I once remember singing the Nelson's Blood one (a clean version!) with my Y2 class in a history lesson some years ago!!!!!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 10/09/2016 14:30

About what Vanilla?

ItShouldHaveBeenJessmas · 10/09/2016 14:30

Weren't we supposed to be getting an IKEA in Cornwall?

I've eaten 'several' digestive biscuits with Nutella and peanut butter. Am feeling rather ill.

Bettercallsaul1 · 10/09/2016 14:39

I feel ill just hearing about that, Jess. Envy Grin

PortiaCastis · 10/09/2016 14:40

Vanilla leave him on a billy book case with the meat balls and a bed frame.
Jet You have exceptional taste, most Fridays in season, Fishermans Friends sing on the beach at Port Isaac for charity. They involve dc and get them to sing along ( obviously clean versions ) .Dc have a great time as well as Parents. Unless of course the tide comes in or the lifeboat has to go out, then everyone moves pdq.
Doc Marten was filmed at Port Isaac. Another piece of trivia.

I have a weird mould/Impressionistic pointillism thing going on in my bathroom. Am I going to have to get the bleach out?

I don't want to. Have just found a DVD of the original Back To The Future in a charity shop. Marty!

Bettercallsaul1 · 10/09/2016 15:05

Yes - it may be artistic but it is not healthy and will spread. Time for Cif!
