Anyone like to put names forward for a charity that my daughter school can do a fundraiser for?

My daughter (14) and her best friend are holding a sweet sale and are selling fizzy drinks at school in a few weeks but they haven't come up with a good charity they'd like to support yet, 50% of all of the profits will go to the charity and 50% will go towards buying supplies as they will be doing this once a month until the end of Y11.
They want to support a different charity each month. We will be putting names of charities in a hat and picking them out each month.

MPS society. It's a rare disease so often doesn't get a lot of traction, but they really do amazing work for families touched by this awful, life limiting disease. I have a close friend whose dear boy suffers from it and the work they do in invaluable.

Home Start - offers support for families through home visiting volunteers

Action Duchenne. My son's friend was diagnosed aged 3, it's a rare but devastating condition. He will likely need a wheelchair before he's 12 and Duchenne boys rarely live past 20. The charity do amazing things.

I'm not sure you can sell sweets & cakes to support a diabetes charity!!!

Was going to suggest Women's Aid as it is talked about on MN all the time and is a very worthy cause

someday tesco stores often have cake sales and raffles of cakes and things to raise money for diabetes UK! I did think it a bit odd.

Something like Mind? Or a mental health charity that focuses on young people.

Clic sargent ( I feel like I spelt that wrong) they have been a great support to a friend who's ds has cancer

A local hospice, have a Google to find your local one. Children's hospice would be particularly appropriate. They do fantastic things and you'd be supporting your local community.

I suggest a go fund me cause. It took my friend 2.5 years to get enough money for her dd to have an operation which now mean she can walk.

A lesser known local charity would be lovely.

My son is currently having chemotherapy and he's had some lovely treats from small charities, including day trips, theatre tickets etc. They are all charities set up in the memory of a child

When DS is through all this I'm hoping to do some fund raising/ volunteering for them
