Aibu to not iron bed sheets

We have a superking bed. For the past hour and a half I have been standing ironing sheets to put on the bed. I have only managed the flat sheet and pillow cases. I have the bloody duvet cover and fitted sheet to go! Aibu to fling it all on in its creased form!?

YANBU - I never iron bed linen, life is too short.

I never iron anything, let alone bedsheets

I was just coming on to say exactly the same as rubberducker - life's too short to iron bed linen.

Just throw it on the bed and the creases will fall out when you sleep in it.

I will never understand people who iron bedsheets.

Yanbu. Life is too short. Nobody sees the sheet and pillowcases and duvet cover look OK smoothed out on the bed.

Yabu to even contemplate ironing bedding.

Just throw it on and then have a nap on it. It'll be lovely and crease free.

I've never ironed mine!! straight out of the dryer onto the bed lovely soft fresh sheets couldn't care less about any creases

I don't iron mine, i used to until one day I didn't and realised they looked no different.

Have never ironed bedding except the odd pillowcase if having guests to stay.

Maybe iron the duvet cover if I'm feeling posh/bored but never the bottom sheet. Actually now I think about it the last time I ironed bedclothes was probably 3 years ago or more..

Top tip from family friend who ran a B and B.. she made the bed then ironed all the visible bits. Swore it saved time. Worth a go?

My Gran used to iron dusters. I don't even iron clothes.

I'd given up ironing mine but asked MIL how she does it, hers are always perfectly pressed. She folds them into four (in half and in half again) while damp and irons each side. Takes five minutes! Can't believe I've been trying to iron them 'unfolded' all these years.

Why would you iron bed sheets? Its as bad as ironing underwear, socks and newspapers. WTF?

YANBU. I might iron pillowcases if they got snarled up in the dryer with the duvet cover and came out looking like origami gone badly wrong, but bugger anything else.

Oh my goodness brown! I will be trying that next time. This time I am embracing the creases. Lets see if DH notices. Highly unlikely!

My MIL always ironed her bed linen until she broke her arm at the age of 75 and couldn't iron for a while. She then realised that they're fine unironed and no longer does it.

It's a total waste of time.

Who the fuck irons bed sheets?! Seriously? Is it the same people who buy plug ins?!

I don't like sleeping on un-ironed sheets, but each to their own...

Seriously, I'm not being snarky, just wondering....
Believe me, I don't enjoy ironing (or changing) king size or above bed linen.
Fold duvet cover in half and then quarters. Iron each side and then flip through and iron each side again.
For flat sheets, fold in quarters and iron each side. If fitted sheets, fold in half lengthways (corner into corner) and then into quarters (corners into corners again) - iron each side.
That's enough. 20 mins max for a full set of linen.
Iron or non-iron is up to you, but that's the quickest way for me.
But, don't cram to much into your washing machine - it helps to reduce creasing in the wash.

No plug ins running. Diffusers though!

Fold them when damp and iron straight away (otherwise they start to smell) then keep them in the hotpress

Fold the fitted sheet into itself and fold down the flaps it'll help it keep it's shape.
