Welcome to 14.....

We got spooky 13 out the way. Now business as usual.

Don't worry about making sense, we rarely do!!

A poem from Portia

Mother Nature don't build straight lines
We're broken moulds in a grand design
We look a mess but we're doing fine
We're card carrying lifelong members
Of the Union of different kinds

Crack on and enjoy!!

LOL carb - poor Jess!.

I can totally understand it made you feel like that being - try not to take that comment to heart....when my own DM/MIL are being "challenging"....I try and remember how lucky my DD is to have all of us who care about her. It helps - you know - sometimes - a bit.....Grin.

Good luck with the prodding AGL - it will be over in a flash and you might get a sticker to show us all, so be brave!.

Good luck with the school run vanilla. Guarantee I wouldn't know WAG if I fell over her....unless it was Colleen Rooney?! - I know that one!. Oh and Victoria Beckham....though she would have fallen down a drain/crack in the pavement by the time I noticed her.

DP, without saying anything got up with the baby, so I could have an hours sleep. I LOVE DP.

No one has mentioned any willy bread?!.....better I thought I could rely on you?!

carb. You look gorgeous! Definitely gonna get me some sunglasses, I need them.

I've made my first run-mum friend. She looks like Barbie! I'm not sure I want to walk to school with her on a daily basis. The pressure!

carbcraver · 08/09/2016 09:39

Blush thanks better

Literally just brushed my hair and left the house will not apologise for early morning glamourousness

ItShouldHaveBeenJessMissingRed · 08/09/2016 09:50

carb. I did sort of get stuck with a mum on the nursery run. On the walk back, there was always an awkward "Do I invite her in for coffee?" moment. I did it a few times, but then it was almost expected. Cue some very weird excuses and 'appointments'.

Barbie Mum was wearing heels, immaculate make-up, straightened hair and an outfit fit for clubbing in. How?!!

PortiaCastis · 08/09/2016 09:52

Morning, I am still in bed erm working but this article is quite good

umeandthekids.com/things-that-go-through-your-head-when-youre-ignored-on-the-school-run/

PortiaCastis · 08/09/2016 10:01

I may adopt Gran's sentence for up their own arses posters.
Atm I'm gloating because dd drives herself to school. I shall be eternally grateful to my Mum for forking out for dds car and driving lessons. Dd is spoilt but I try to make sure her feet are firmly planted on the ground. If she does a madam act I ignore. No audience to play too soon puts her in her place.
Contemplating having a shag shower

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/09/2016 10:03

"How" indeed, Jess! Effortless glam is one thing but Barbie mum must have been up since 4.30 to achieve her look...

Bettercallsaul1 · 08/09/2016 10:04

I thought you normally had both, Portia?

PortiaCastis · 08/09/2016 10:12

True Better and I still look stunning
