To complain to the zoo about the wanking monkeys?

I took DS2 to the zoo yesterday. It's taken me years to get it into his head that he only plays with his willy in private. About half the male primates were rubbing their dicks on tree branches and one was standing right up against the glass having a good old tug.
Then, as soon as we entered the reptile house, we were greeted by the sight of 2 giant tortoises shagging.
AIBU to ask the zoo to put warning up for visitors?

They were wanking in the privacy of their own home not their fault you and your son showed up uninvited

When saw the title of this thread,I could not resist having a look! I thought it was a joke at first. But seriously,children can be taught that animals behave in ways in public,that humans wouldn't dream of. That is what makes humans supposedly superior in intelligence to animals. You don't go to a zoo and expect the animals to behave like people surely?!

How old is your son by the way?

The wanking monkeys at Chester Zoo were spider monkeys.

You could point out that they are wild animals and we are humans and that's one of the things that separates us. And yes, YABU. What next, warnings that animals will have a poo in front of you ?

On the inside of the enclosures are signs saying "Beware voyeuristic humans".

We saw these on holiday a few years ago, Dd was 3 and quite fascinated,they went on for hours.

To be fair you normally have to pay a premium rate website a monthly fee to see that kind of stuff. You should be happy to have saved money.

Would you expect a worker to go up to the monkeys and tell them to stop it? No I don't think so. I've never seen a monkey do these things but I expect they do sometimes being animals.Also for the shagging tortoises,I've seen them do it. Rather funny.It's nature.
