There's an 18 year old girl on the Newquay lifeboat crew. What a star, and people moan about teens. I pray my dd doesn't want to do it, she's a trained lifeguard like most of the teens here but her going out on a lifeboat would give me a heart attack

Probably out myself here but at Christmas time a couple of years ago our beach got washed away and of course the press were all over it. Fortunately I wasn't flooded but plenty were it was dreadful. Even Gran said she'd never seen anything like it

Not sure Better The Penlee lifeboat was lost with all crew dead the year I was born because of bad weather. I'm on the fence about global warming. Must be something to it but its August and quite chilly.

Yes, I think there's probably been no change in Cornwall. There's been a lot more flooding in the rest of the UK in recent years, though.
