I've missed all sorts!!

Go out for the day, civilised afternoon tea, and come back to this! Grin

Kebab is just being collected. Alcohol has been consumed.

LOVING my Saturday night!!!

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 20/08/2016 19:48

AGL. Is that a euphemism for something?

PortiaCastis · 20/08/2016 19:52

Jims dog looks like jim. Roll up permanently stuck to corner of mouth. Jim helped with changover today but ate so many scons we had to make some more

PortiaCastis · 20/08/2016 19:55

The sea is still boiling

carb I'm not. Ex has just phoned to say he's twenty minutes away, with his stupid portable mini tv on which he will watch Salvage Hunters, while we both pretend to be all grown-up and good at co-parenting (because obviously co-parenting is the correct phrase for seeing your child once a month). Rant over there may be more later

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 19:59

carbcraver I'm exactly the same! Went out for the day, had a civilised lunch etc. I'll never think of Thomas the Tank Engine in quite the same way again. Grin

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 20:02

I see there's been a tragedy in Cornwall, Portia with a family being blown off the rocks into the sea. The father is dead and his two-year-old daughter is critical, I believe. Sad

PortiaCastis · 20/08/2016 20:04

At least hour ex pretends Jess mines been AWOL for over 5 years. Bastard !

PortiaCastis · 20/08/2016 20:06

Yes Better that was at Newquay.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 20/08/2016 20:09

better this is why I'm glad I don't have TV. Tragedies every summer. While I don't want to keep harking on about ex, I remember him attempting to carry DS across Hayle river mouth weeks after a guy died in a whirlpool further up stream.

VanillaSugar · 20/08/2016 20:12

I have an announcement to make. Before DD was born, I was Thomas the Tank Engine's publicity manager. Yes I was. Really. Honestly. Truly.

And I hid the biggest story of all time. Until now.

The

Thomas

The

Tank

Engine

Sex Scandal.

Blue Just read your news about the house - sounds (almost) ideal! I don't think I'd try to negotiate the rent down, if I were you. There will be - probably immediate - competition for a house that nice, and there would be no reason for the landlord to reduce the rent. If you're lucky enough to be the first to view it, I wouldn't jeopardise your chances of securing it, especially as it's less expensive than your current one.

Mummyshortlegz · 20/08/2016 20:14

Oh my goodness. It was Rosie wasn't it? Or clarabelle percent

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 20:16

As ever, we're getting a lot of mixed conversations here! You're right Jess - tragedies every summer. Someone has died in the sea off Aberdeen today as well.

PortiaCastis · 20/08/2016 20:17

Thing is people ignore the red flags, think they are a champion surfer and then the lifeboat volunteers have to risk their lives to save idiots.
I can surf Im a trained lifeguard but there is no way I'd have attempted to go near the seas yesterday or today.
Respect the sea is the RNLI motto

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 20/08/2016 20:17

Vanilla. No, that big pink one (!) that hooks up with (!) Connor.... She was always a bit mischevious. Caitlin, that's it!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 20:20

I have a mixture of reactions to catching up on this thread.

Grin Yay for all the smut!

Angry At arsehole exes!

Sad At all the tragic deaths. I hope the 2 year old pulls through. Both this story and the story about the little boy in Florida have pulled at my heartstrings because they are the same age as my DD.

PortiaCastis · 20/08/2016 20:20

Eh what a big pink one ?????

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 20:20

Yes, people tempt fate, don't they? So sad when children's lives are risked too.

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 20:21

Yes, that is a veritable rainbow of reactions you've got there, Being!

PortiaCastis · 20/08/2016 20:22

I actually feel for the volunteers that have to bring a body back to shore. That must stay with them forever

VanillaSugar · 20/08/2016 20:22

Why do people go to stand in rocks when the waves are 10ft high????

shakes head and Mummy Nope. It wasn't the engines. The Sun called it The Odd Couplings.

portia. My ex reckons he used to be a lifeguard. I do recall an incident at Whitsands near Plymbo when we were first dating; tide came in super quickly, we were trapped on the rocks and had to be rescued by a guy in a kayak. Will stop slagging off ex now, he is here. And has already commented that I wasn't very welcoming when I answered the door. Being a twat is not just a Bing thing; BeingATwatIsAJThing also...

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 20:22

How did your cake turn out, Vanilla? The one with all the booze and chocolate?
