These threads, which lie empty as the night, remain unposted upon. Verily, you know what to do.*

I've moved on to food. Butternut, chestnut and lentil cake.

being. why did you get rid of her? how did you get rid of her?!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 08:49

Because we need to bring the numbers down, Jess and she makes me feel like a Troll in comparison to her. She had to go!

carbcraver · 20/08/2016 08:51

Do not want to step on Being's bridal toes.... I feel that her wedding is further along in the planning stages and am happy to be a guest in this dress

being Perfectly acceptable reasons. I remember watching a wedding in St Ives years ago. The bride was bought to the church in a limo, driven by a female chauffeur. The chauffeur was wearing a very short skirt and a jaunty little hat, and when she stepped out of the car (before the bride), the guys in the crowd were going crazy. The reaction to the bride (although stunning) was less enthusiastic. I remember thinking why would you do that? I think I will have only males at my never going to happen wedding.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 20/08/2016 09:02

carb. I love rainbows. I would absolutely wear that.

SquidgyRedBall · 20/08/2016 09:02

Morning - I'm off to buy an actual wedding dress today. Help!! ConfusedShockConfused

Tho I am inspired by the peacock dress my mother tells me it should be white (or a bit beige seeing as I'm living in sin)

SquidgyRedBall · 20/08/2016 09:03

Carb. Congrats on the engagement your ring is lovely!! Ooh err

Mummyshortlegz · 20/08/2016 09:04

You will never hear more words for cream or white. Have fun. Ask for booze.

SquidgyRedBall · 20/08/2016 09:06

Shortlegz I'm already dreading it - didn't realise I had to learn a dulux chart too! FFS all I wanted was a husband!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 09:07

White is too conforming! I'm going peacock all the way!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 09:08

Until I'm actually trying on dresses and then I will wear my white dress like a princess!

carbcraver · 20/08/2016 09:15

Ooh Squidgy have fun!
Good luck
Booze

Who's going with you!?

SquidgyRedBall · 20/08/2016 09:20

I have my mum, a sister and my friend.

Part of me is hoping I look shit so it will give me a kick up the bum to lose weight, the other part is dreading it because I'll look shit!

carbcraver · 20/08/2016 09:23

As long as they are honest. Not brutal. And drink.

And YY to the losing weight kick up the bum. I need that also.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 20/08/2016 09:24

Can you go and try wedding dresses on without actually getting married? I want a piece of the action! I mean, do they want proof or something when you enter the bridal shop? (checks Yellow Pages for wedding gown shops)

Mummyshortlegz · 20/08/2016 09:31

I was a size 22 the first time and a 14-16 the second time (got in a 12 sale rail find with a slight adjustment). Everyone was mostly lovely both times but the first time one shop said some awful things. That was 13 years ago and I know things have moved on lots. It'll be fine. Open mind and try on as manny styles as you can.

Mummyshortlegz · 20/08/2016 09:34

You need an appointment and an idea of a date but go for it!

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 20/08/2016 09:39

I don't think I'd have the nerve! Grin (but would be fun...)

SquidgyRedBall · 20/08/2016 09:43

The shop I'm going to you don't need to make an appointment. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. X

SquidgyRedBall · 20/08/2016 09:46

I would say go for it - but wouldn't you want the first time you try a dress on to be the time you are actually getting married?

I thought about trying them on for a laugh but now I'm glad I waited.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 20/08/2016 09:47

squidgy. Am excited for you! But be careful what you eat/drink first. Am thinking of that rather delightful scene from 'Bridesmaids'....
