These threads, which lie empty as the night, remain unposted upon. Verily, you know what to do.*

But not with real peacock feathers because that would be cruel

We could eat the peacocks as a main course. Surely they're just a large chicken?

Girl peacocks are dull

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 07:56

I would like all food to be vegetarian Wink

jetSTAR · 20/08/2016 07:57

No peacocks were harmed in the making of this thread.

VanillaSugar · 20/08/2016 08:02

What, no meat? stamps foot and sulks

Heavens - everyone's up early on a Saturday morning! Excellent dress selection, jet. Love the multi-colour idea for the bride! I think you should go for the first peacock one, Being! then I'll look even better in my plain blue but gorgeous Scarlett O'Hara number.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 08:08

So it's decided. I shall wear Synthetic Peacock to my wedding!

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 08:10

If we're having peacock to eat, we could have one of those bird-within -a-bird things - you know, peacock on the outside, then turkey, then goose, then chicken, then canary etc. We had one last Christmas because my son wanted to try it and it was yum!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 08:11

Vanilla, if it's all veggie food we can eat the vegetable decorations Jess is organising. That will help us stick to the £14.97 budget.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 08:12

A Tur-Turkey-key!

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 08:12

Excellent choice, Being! Truly these will be nuptials that no-one (not even Noone) forgets!

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 08:13

Although I think you would be hard pushed to stuff a turkey in a peacock. Might need to be the other way around.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 08:14

We should set up a wedding planning thread. People come to us with their budgets and we plan their perfect days!

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 08:17

What we have to remember is that 451 (possibly now 453, with new arrivals to the thread) is a lot of mouths to feed. That's where my bird-within-a-bird dish would come in tres handy! That and Portia's Gran's scones should see us alright in the catering department.

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 08:18

Being, we could have a vegetarian bird-within-a-bird instead if you wanted.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 08:19

No, it's 452 guests. I got rid of annoyingly pretty, tall and oh so fucking nice SIL.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 08:20

Better, do you mean a vegetarian bird or a quorn pretend bird?

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 08:21

Oh well done, Being!

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 08:21

We don't want her sort there.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 20/08/2016 08:24

Morning all!

Some beautiful dresses, jet!

being. I want to hear more about SIL

did I really post Co Op Boy's name last night? Shudders

Bettercallsaul1 · 20/08/2016 08:25

Well either, really, Being, seeing as you're the bride. Either veggie or quorn-shaped birds (not difficult, surely?) or alternatively, vegetables packed inside each other, with a pumpkin on the outside and a pea in the middle.

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 20/08/2016 08:28

better Aren"t you forgetting the courgettes?

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 08:35

Maybe I will be a little flexible. We can have a Tur-Turkey-key but we also have to have a Pump-Pumpkin-kin. Deal? Grin

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 20/08/2016 08:36

Jess, what would you like to know about SIL?
