To put a box dye over my freshly highlighted hair?

Just paid £70 to have my hair turned into a stripy yellow mess Sad in devastated. I love my natural hair colour and just wanted a few honey caramels putting through but didn't want a colour change at all. I've come out with a complete mess.

It's yellow all over, stripy and the stripes start about 2cm from my scalp so it looks a few weeks old already.

I want it sorted immediately as I'm off out tonight and going on holiday tomorrow. Can I put a light ash blonde hair dye over my hair? Will this help blend it all a bit more?

Please help SadSad

Wow - it is much better - the stripes look far more natural - not really stripes at all, just patches of lighter blonde.

Bantanddec · 16/08/2016 12:37

What dye did you use op? It's lovely

newtscamander · 16/08/2016 12:40

Get over yourself. Nobody else will be looking at your hair. Are you really so shallow that highlights can ruin your holiday?? Haway pet, there are worse things in life.

Pardonwhat · 16/08/2016 12:41

Your hair looks lovely.

Are you having a bad day Newts or just bitch plopping for the lol's Biscuit

WaitrosePigeon · 16/08/2016 14:33

Newt, your life sounds very unpleasant at the moment for you to comment so negatively on someone else's.

Hope you feel better soon.

Flowers Thanks for the lovely comments Flowers

I've checked on it through the day, you know because I'm so shallow Grin and everytime I look it seems a different colour. The yellow has definitely toned down though and that was my main hate. My Dnephew affectionately told me I resemble a stripy cat Hmm but I suppose a cat is better than a bee, right?

Grin coconutty, how very nice of you to not say anything because you didn't like it. Thank you.

Bantanddec I think it was a Nice n Easy one and it's called 'natural light ash blonde'. Although I'm really not sure it actually did anything, I think the change was purely down to the toner shampoo.

No response from the salon yet. I have calmed down now though so at least I'll be much easier for them to deal with than the hysterical mess I was last night! Poor MNetters had to deal with that instead Grin

Wow it actually looks better op! Really nice. I was sure you were heading for disaster.

Looks very nice OP. Ignore that twatty comment from newt, nothing wrong at all with wanting your hair to look nice. When my balayage had gone wrong, I knew no one liked it as not one single person commented on my hair being done when I saw them after, and it was an obvious change.

I actually thought the red pictures were quite nice tbh.

NellysKnickers · 16/08/2016 21:02

It honestly looks lovely in your latest pics.

Babyzoo · 16/08/2016 22:31

It looks quite different in daylight.

Just to say that honestly I think your hair looks gorgeous in all of the photos.

It must be really frustrating but you'll get it back to exactly how you want it soon.

Babyzoo · 16/08/2016 22:35

I'm really not just saying that either. I've always had quite long hair and it's probably my favourite thing about my appearance so I know why it's like to not be happy with it, but in the photos it really does look nice.
