To go to Rhyl when pregnant

I am currently 38 + 1 and wanted to pop to Rhyl to see my brother which is roughly a hours drive away. My mum and dad are not happy with this and think it's too risky and my dh just thinks I need to judge it on the day.
I didn't even think twice but am I being silly to go ?

Rhyl Sun Centre was billed as North Wales' biggest and best attraction back in the day.

What has it got now to lure the pregnant and fearless???

I heard that on R4 today too elephant! Made me click on this thread and remember another recent thread where many people said Rhyl was one of the worst places in the uk. Good luck OP

Ah, I was born pre-Wrexham Maelor.
I'm a Trevalyn baby, from back in the day when Rhyl was a fun place to go.

Two Maelor babies here . all that comes out of Glan Clwyd is C Diff You can get to Wrexham in 40 minutes from Rhyl...

I have a friend who gave birth in Rhyl. Both mother and baby are fine. The two heads does make people stare though.

Hi buttered yes I did make it safe see my post from 10/8/16. Still heavily pregnant (due in 4 days) but thinking about where my next trip will be in the next week. :)
