To ask which adverts give you the rage?

So I'm watching the telly while DD lies in her cot refusing to sleeptakes a nap and the Muller advert came on. The one about the winning gold for £50,000. There is something about that advert that just gives me the rage. I have to mute the telly and close my eyes until I predict it's over.

"I never won gold at the olympics but now I'm your Fairy GoodMuller, you can!" Argh!!!!

What adverts annoy my lovely Mumsnetters? Doesn't just have to be telly.

Don't know what it's advertising but it sponsers certain shows so played before/after/add breaks on diy type programmes. 4 women walking with arms linked. One gets a hole in her tights. They rest all smile/giggle and make holes in their tights!!!!!
Same women going to cross road. Traffic cop. One makes coy gestures to him to handcuff her.
All made worse by the annoying music which you only ever hear one line of. Think by Caro Emerald or same style.

Also, thank you to whoever posted that the woman in topcat mortgage ad was beth jordache! It's been bugging the crap out of me as I recognised her voice but couldn't place her.

The girl in the Maltesers advert is Jennifer Saunders and Ade Edmonsons daughter. I really like that one.
I hate the chicken madras one I used to have to mute it or turn over. One night my horrible dcs found it on YouTube and were dancing around me singing it! Brats 🙄

DownWithThisSortaThing · 04/08/2016 20:04

The Tesco ones are fucking dire. I don't know why they're still making them, or why two fairly successful comedians such as Ruth Jones and Ben Miller would even go along with the scripts. Unfunny, cheesy, cringe worthy.
The latest one is advertising what, refunds? They're advertising the fact you can get a refund if you change your mind? Surely that falls under consumer rights somewhere, and they have to give refunds for unwanted items. Is that really the best thing they can think of to say about themselves?!

The new morrisons ones also get on my tits.

StorminaBcup · 04/08/2016 20:06

Informercials? 15 minutes of high-octane drivel about the benefits of the stepmaster 3000 and how it can turn you into Naomi Campbell even though your the same height as a hobbit.

Jelliebabe1 · 04/08/2016 20:46

The paydayloan company one where the boiler is broken and the woman says "oh well, you can just smell today". Noooooooooo! Wash in the sink like everyone else would! Gaaaaaaaah!

And the diet coke ladies ! Die bitches

WuTangFlan · 04/08/2016 20:58

The formula milk ad where it implies that the young teenage swimmer is a good swimmer because of what he was fed as a baby (dives into water, becomes baby, welcomed into mother's arms - whatever milk ad that one is.). The rest of his diet, exercise and general home environment/financial security to cover swimming lessons etc beyond that time had nowt to do with it, of course. Angry.

Also, the patronising formula milk ad with the whole "Mums, you're doing great". I cannot express the rage it induces in me.

KittensandKnitting · 04/08/2016 20:59

I love the specsavers one in the vets :) and the new always adverts not a pony or pair of white jeans in sight.

I bloody hate that kola (is it a kola?) who steals the truck! And the advert for the injury claim specialists after Judge Rinder with the mother and daughter... Not that I watch judge rinder mind you Wink

NickiFury · 04/08/2016 21:00

Anything with a hapless, doofus father makes me want to put my foot through the screen.

RortyCrankle · 04/08/2016 21:28

I have to watch David Gandy ads as he is so beautiful. I saw him in a new one today for Wellman.

I loathe most ads and either hit the remote when they come on or come on here to read threads/post.

seahorse106 · 04/08/2016 21:28

The one with the boy who has a waggytail like a dog...

seahorse106 · 04/08/2016 21:30

I love Cristiano Ronaldo to bits and think he's a perfect specimen of a man but he didn't use some stupid 6 pack machine to have abs like that!

imwithspud · 04/08/2016 21:32

Any perfume advert. They are all utterly ridiculous.

And the diet coke one with the simpering woman wanting the traffic cop to handcuff her. She makes me really really angry

My neck wants to strangle itself when I see this one. I hate, hate, hate it. She looks like an absolute ignoramus.

McPie · 04/08/2016 21:53

The pole dancing builder on site without his hard hat bugs me as you would be marched off site for not wearing one!
The Weetabix drinking one actually makes me gag every time it comes on, I hate Weetabix with a passion and the thought of drinking it makes me want to puke!

Atlas15 · 04/08/2016 21:59

Dishwasher tablets with the boy who says "boring!" When everything is clean. Pisses me off.

SecretNutellaFix · 04/08/2016 22:01

MrsJayy · 04/08/2016 22:11

Anybody seen the ronaldo stomach thing its hilarious

BagPusscatnip · 04/08/2016 22:13

There is a new ad on about checking credit scores or something and it is basically a precocious boy with a horrible voice saying "pineapple" several times and asking why it's called a pineapple when it doesn't have pines and isn't an apple. I just don't get it! I can in no way connect pineapple to credit scores. It's weird and beyond pisses me off. It's like some awful advert put together on The Apprentice.

Oysterbabe · 04/08/2016 22:19

The ones that have stupid little jingles that stick in my head. As I'm on maternity leave it's crappy daytime TV ones

Gladstone Brooks
Have I got PPI dot com

Voteforpedr0 · 04/08/2016 22:29

Gala bingo. Or any of the bingo ones aimed at women all getting together and having a brilliant night in playing bingo, just stop encouraging people already struglinh with money getting into debt. Just stop it.
