get the queue jump thing (Qbot I think it's called). well worth the money.

Claireshh · 01/08/2016 16:46

The £15 qbot is brilliant. Worth every penny. Go on an overcast day if you can. Much quieter then.

MapMyMum · 01/08/2016 16:48

Get there early, look online and work out which rides u want to do most and priorotise those. Also start nearer the back of the park because the queues start at the rides nearer the entrance quicker, so walk as far in as possible before starting to go on rides. Also get the refillable drink bottles, they cost extra to buy initially (i think 7pounds) but then unlimited refills all day. Also rides will quieten down again later on so take a long lunch break if youre thinking of giving up and going home then the queues will quieten down and you'll get on some more rides

Enjoy!!!!

EveOnline2016 · 01/08/2016 16:51

Ds is asd and I got fast track tickets free.Based on that if I was to go with ds < not possible> I would.

Pack a picnic. Food is expensive and not imo worth it.

maddiemookins16mum · 01/08/2016 16:52

Go to the back of the park first and work your way back to the entrance - works a treat.

StealthPolarBear · 01/08/2016 17:06

There are signs showing you queue length. Read them! (Bitter experiwncw)
The laser riDe thing is not worth it
the dragon is

BillyNotQuiteNoMates · 01/08/2016 17:09

Don't go! Not worth the money!
I find it really annoying that people can pay to queue jump! It's expensive enough without paying an extra £15 (or whatever) per head. There's no way we could afford to do that, would add up to an extra £100! It just makes the queues even longer for those who can't afford to do it.
If you do want to go, the only time it was worth it, for us, was when we went on an inservice day. August was a nightmare!

Mollymoo78 · 01/08/2016 17:09

Too late we are going next week!

We hated lego land.
The queues were horrendous, the decor was tired and outdated.
The park was dirty, and as for the toilets....
The rides weren't worth the wait either.
Nobody wants to go back.

Jackanory1978 · 01/08/2016 17:13

I live very close by & honestly just don't even think of going in the school holidays, it's hell. We go in term time & don't queue for anything, just walk straight onto the rides. Can you not go when your dc has an inset day?

KondosSecretJunkRoom · 01/08/2016 17:13

Imagine a reasonable amount of money to spend on food and snacks, now double it. You're welcome Grin

squiggleirl · 01/08/2016 17:14

Book tickets on-line in advance - that way you skip the queue outside and can go straight in. Use Kellogg's cereal codes to get a free adult ticket for every child ticket bought.

Pay in advance for parking. So much closer, and great to only have a short walk to the car at the end of the day.

Go the back of the park first, and work your way to the front.

Remember, not everything opens at the one time. Some areas open later in the morning. Go to the dragon rollercoaster as soon as the Nexo Knights area opens. You can get a few goes on it before the queues build.

Bring your own picnic. Food there is awful and over-priced. Also bring lots of drinks, sunscreen and a small towel to wipe off wet seats.

Bring your own disposable ponchos. They cost £3.50 each there.

The shops stay open well after closing time, so don't bother going to them during the day.

Pick up lots of maps. They are on display units just after the turnstiles into the park, but didn't seem to be anywhere else there.

Enjoy!

KondosSecretJunkRoom · 01/08/2016 17:17

The pirate show is really good, especially for little kids. If you want to sit down to watch it you need to be there with 30 mins to spare.

absolutelynotfabulous · 01/08/2016 17:21

I'm in the "don't go" camp too, but if you must, go on a cool (but not wet) day outside the school holidays.

It was full of wasps last time I went thank god dd's too old now.

roseteapot101 · 01/08/2016 17:22

try to find a non peak day its hell for wait times
we went on sunday went on about 4 rides
take a picnic/rug with plenty of drinks, snacks and sandwiches(we took a cooler back pack very handy)
some cereal boxes have buy one get one free entry
get there opening time it gets packed very quickly
take a beach bag with pool gear/towels if you want to take them to splash park

LovingKent · 01/08/2016 17:23

Lots of tips on this thread and previous years versions Legoland tips

f1fan2015 · 01/08/2016 17:48

We were there 3 weeks ago and I can report they have solved the wasp problem. Lots of signs asking people to dispose of their drinks in the bins, report spilled drinks and there are insect / wasp traps in the trees.

JapaneseTea · 01/08/2016 17:54

Get the queuebots then you can go on all the other things while the queuebot queues for you. The kids love the Dragon and I love Atlantis. The pirate show is fab.

Mini land, the climbing frames and diplo water world are all good.

The laser ride is fun but you need two goes to get the hang of it.

Scuttle22 · 01/08/2016 17:56

I hated every second of Legoland and we had free tickets. Agree tired and dated feel. I also felt the Qbot thing was just so unfair and fascist!

Just get there early and have some wine for when you return! Flowers

Haudyerwheesht · 01/08/2016 18:01

Well we didn't go in English holidays but my kids (9&5) absolutely love it.

Download the app then you can check wait times before walking over to rides. Start at Lego city section then work your way back. It also tells your which rides are closed on the day and also height restrictions.

Pack a picnic.

Favourite rides from us :

Mias horse one in heartlake city
Squid surfer
Log flume
Dragon

Pirate show is great. Lego friends is shite.

giggly · 01/08/2016 18:04

We went the first week in July as Scottish schools finish then. My dc loved it . Food was rank brought our own the 2nd day. Although the park was open till 6 the rides closed at 5. Didn't buy the q bots as don't agree in principle that money buys a better service. Agree with pp that it socks for those who can't afford it. We didn't need them as wasn't too busy but would NEVER go when the English schools are off must be a nightmare with all those queue jumping qbots😠😠

RubbleBubble00 · 01/08/2016 18:05

Went for first time this yr, the wk before English schools broke it. It was fab and kids loved it. Kids r 7,5,3. Kids have sn so had cue jump tickets which made a massive difference. They could ride all the rides, even 3 yr old. Park was super clean with lots of staff cleaning. Staff were so helpful.

Would have been hell with out que jump tickets. We spent two days to see everything. Hotel is really expensive and dated but couldn't get more convenient

Download the app as u get offers for buying refillable drinks.

wheresthel1ght · 01/08/2016 18:06

Ohhh we are going in a couple of weeks and I am quite excited.

Are the qbot tickets really worth it? Will be going with a 13, 11 and 3 year old!

RubbleBubble00 · 01/08/2016 18:09

Splash park is ok. Chaos when we were there as super hot. Splash towers is a nightmare. You que for it but kids can't leave to see u seating area once they are in as they arnt allowed back in even hough u have qued and it's your session and same if they need toilet

maddening · 01/08/2016 18:09

We did 2 days - 1st day without the q bot and 2nd day with - q bot is great
