And who decides when, you, dh, dc?

Every few months. I'd get really bored if we had them more often. We both usually agree on a Chinese! If the kids are having it too then they'll decide, either pizza or Chinese.

Once a month or so. Usually suggested by me or the DC, never by DH.

We have a take away of eat out at a fast food place once a month on or around pay day - it's a treat the children relish. I get a text when my pay lands in my bank account and the children know when I say 'ooh, I've been paid' that we can have a "pay day take-away".

About once every 2 months. Eat out a couple of times a month. We decide together.

Fish & chips when at the coast, otherwise never.
I would rather eat out at a pub/restaurant which we do maybe once a month depending what we have on. It's not a set thing.

Once every five years.

Never. Or more once every five years too because I can't remember when's the last time. Unless you count the supermarket ready meals because DH likes to get them when looking after the DC during school holidays. I would never buy them myself however. I'd rather make a cheese sandwich. They are far too expensive tbh, and takeaways are even more of a rip off.

I'd rather eat out then buy takeaways.

Once a week on average. It's not just the tastiness that matters. It's spending all day looking forward to it, gives me a spring in my step whenever there's a heavy workload!

Once a week. It could be more but I don't drive and I already feel a bit embarrassed that the neighbours see the Dominos/Pizza Hut man pull up every Saturday night!

I bought myself a bag of chips last Friday. I think the time before that was February (fish and chips - new chippy opened down the road and had a half-price offer). I LOVE takeaway food, especially Chinese, but really can't afford it so try not to think about it!

Since becoming a single Mum 3 years ago I've had the sum total of 1, and that didn't inspire me to get another. Takeaways are a hassle - when you are on your own with children too young to eat that sort of food they won't deliver as your order is too small and the thought of bundling them both in the car to go and pick up really isn't worth it.

Prior to DD we'd have take away several times a week, BK, KFC, Chinese or fish and chips. We wasted so much money.

Now we have a Chinese once a week and rarely have a second take away during the week.

Before we had DS I think it was once a month or so. Since DS was born nearly two years ago we haven't had one at all. We all eat together so it's not really suitable.

I do massively fancy an Indian take away though, maybe I'll suggest DS eats on his own for once this weekend!

Too often. Cut down massively now. Just convenience when working so much.

We try not to have a takeaway very often, they are expensive and I never think they live up to expectations. It probably works out 4 or 5 times a year now although we used to have one every couple of weeks or so.

But take out in zone 1 is a bit of a wider definition than pizza and curry.

I generally get a Vietnamese take out on my way home from the station, or grilled lamb or halluomi with salad and pita, or if I'm at work I get sushi from itsu, or a big pot of soup from chopped, or something from Leon.

Once a week, sometimes twice a week. I couldn't live on take away food though. Home cooked tastes a million times better apart from pizza.

No DC. But I'd say DP and I average once every 10 days. We both have very busy lives and are not organised enough to do a weekly shop so quite often get in late and have nothing to eat.

But our local takeaway is cheaper than buying an oven pizza from the supermarket and much nicer.

Maybe once a month if payday falls on a Friday/weekend.
