And who decides when, you, dh, dc?

Chattymummyhere · 01/08/2016 15:30

Sometimes once a month, sometimes once a week or in a very busy hectic week it has been known to be 3/4 times.

nennyrainbow · 01/08/2016 15:34

Virtually never. Maybe once every 2 years. I live in the sticks which is outside of the delivery range of every takeaway bar one that we don't like.

LardLizard · 01/08/2016 15:38

Sat nights

GobblersKnob · 01/08/2016 15:39

We get chips on holiday when by the sea, otherwise never :)

princessjonsie67 · 01/08/2016 16:36

One of us will mention they would like one and give a reason ie bad day, busy and then the other will decide if the want to join. If one does and the other doesn't then the one who opted out cooks for themselves.

Happens when ever but on average once every couple of months or so. Although we can have two a month then go a few months without. I love cooking so prefer to cook than takeaway . Normally indian food or when mum visits chinese

danTDM · 01/08/2016 17:51

Never, as takeaway doesn't exist in my part of Spain. I miss curry so much, I've had to learn to make it myself but it's never as good Sad

LisaSWilliams · 01/08/2016 18:02

One every two weeks. It's a treat, that way. Nearly always Indian, never Chinese as I think it's a shame when there's only two of us - I'm too greedy and want to have loads of dishes and can only justify that when there's loads of us.

tanfield90 · 01/08/2016 18:12

It's about two years since I last bought a takeaway pizza; I make my own now. Longer since I had a Chinese (too expensive) and I haven't had a takeaway Indian for about fifteen years. The closest I get is the Morrison's and M&S curries when they're in the reduced section. The Waitrose curries are good too.

Alfieisnoisy · 01/08/2016 18:20

Once a month usually and I always do so on a Tuesday night as the rubbish collection is a Weds morning so I don't have to have the boxes/foil trays hanging about.

Millie2013 · 01/08/2016 20:26

Maybe 4-5 times a year, always look forward to them

MorrisZapp · 01/08/2016 20:29

I have a Chinese around four times a year.

And I eat it until I am barely able to move.

And I order chips with it 👍👍👍

MorrisZapp · 01/08/2016 20:30

The more of your takeaway you eat, the more there is on your plate. It's like the magic porridge pot.

MackerelOfFact · 01/08/2016 20:32

Maybe once every couple of months? Usually because dinner plans have fallen through for some reason - home too late to start cooking, feeling ill or can't be bothered to go out. Am always a bit disappointed with the actual takeaway though.

I probably eat out about 6 times a month though so definitely not virtuous in that respect!

Snog · 01/08/2016 21:45

On average maybe once a month but I tend not to have any myself as I don't much like takeaway food.
Mostly on request from dd and about one request in 4 gets approved!

cupofrooibos · 01/08/2016 21:55

2-3 times a month, usually on a saturday night after spending a small fortune on a food shop for the week Angry

irregularegular · 01/08/2016 22:03

Once a month? Maybe twice? Don't really keep track. Tends to be a Friday night treat thing, but often do other nice, easy meals instead on Friday. More often than that then I don't enjoy it enough to justify the expense. Roughly alternate between Fish and Chips, Sushi, and Indian. Used to do Thai but it closed. No decent Chinese near by. Everyone gets a bit of a say - but I probably decide!

Princesspinkgirl · 01/08/2016 23:17

2-3 times a week joint decision

UsedToBeAPaxmanFan · 02/08/2016 07:07

Maybe once every couple of years. I really can't remember the last time we had a takeaway, possibly last summer. We do have fish and chips when we go to the beach though, if that counts? Probably about once a year.

lovelybangers · 02/08/2016 07:09

Rarely;

I am always on a diet - so takeaways are off the menu.

Passthecake30 · 02/08/2016 07:12

Once a month maybe, usually when I am knackered and uninspired. Always my decision (as is every meal planned in this house Hmm)

logosthecat · 02/08/2016 11:32

Never, because I don't see the point. You still have to wash up! If you eat out, it's all done for you.

yes, I AM that lazy. Grin

PterodactylToenails · 02/08/2016 12:00

We either eat out or have a takeaway at least twice a week, I love Thai. Every Saturday unless we go out to eat we usually have a takeaway curry. There is no way I could ever get a home made curry to taste the way it does from a restaurant.

tiggerkid · 02/08/2016 12:04

Joint decision. If can't agree, we go with the majority vote. Usually works as there isn't that much to choose from where we are :) How often isn't a set thing for us. Depends on how busy or tired we are. Sometimes it's once a week. Sometimes once every 2 weeks. Other times could be twice a week.

00100001 · 02/08/2016 14:45

about 3-4times a year.

Mostly me that suggests it actually.

BeardMinge · 02/08/2016 16:21

Before we had dd, never. Since we had her, maybe once or twice a fortnight. Joint decision, usually Turkish or Indian, sometimes pizza, sometimes SE Asian.
