In the winter once a month on average, usually curry. In the summer, perhaps just twice.

Eat out on high days and holidays only as a family.

Me and DH get a curry once a month. Usually his idea and costs about £25-£30.
We get takeaway for all of us once or twice a month. Usually after a long day out or if I don't fancy cooking. Cost depends on what we have. The kids prefer Dominos or Thai noodles.
If DH goes out for a drink he always comes home with a Chinese.

We eat out probably once a fortnight too.

2-3 times a month I'd say. Usually I suggest it and we take it in turns to pay. Although in the interests of being frugal I have tonight cooked the main course (beef rogan josh) using ingredients at home and then ordered popadums, chicken pakora, rice, a vegetable side and pickle all for £9! Half what we would usually spend. May do it this way more often.

Almost never. Maybe a MacDonald's if we're out and about and its convenient etc... But if we're at home then it's usually easier to think ahead a little and grab a pizza from Asda, or do beans on toast or something

When working long longs, about twice a week. Now work part time and about three a year. Prefer to go out to a restaurant.

A couple of times a month, just had one tonight as DH is away so DS and I thought we'd have a treat - he had a chinese and I got fish and chips.

Either DH or I will suggest it - DS might ask more frequently but until he pays then the decision is mine and DH's. .

Very rarely eat out in restaurants - so expensive.

Far too often since Just Eat came out at least 1 a week, sometimes 2.
It's just too easy nowadays with them all being delivered, I know you can get ones brought round by phoning but I really struggle to speak to people on the phone so the ease of online is just too tempting after years of not having them as I don't drive.

About once every month or two. Dh isn't keen and we don't have money for more often. Personally I'd love to have it every Friday and try out all sorts of cuisines!

I've tried various cookbooks, HFW was the best for veggie stuff, but I wasn't convinced...

My oh often (weekly) goes for chips, usually if i'm not in the mood for dinner. About once a month we get a curry. About once a month he gets a pizza (again usually if i'm opting out of dinner). Really curry is the only one I go for!

Very rarely, because I personally don't enjoy them. I'm much more likely to just pick up samosas from the takeaway to have alongside a home cooked curry so don't think that counts as a full-blown takeaway? We eat out every friday night though.

I don't have a DH and my girls are 3 so it's always decided and suggested by me when we do have one.

Once a month, always planned in the weekly meal planner rather than an impulse decision - usually a Saturday night if we're not going out for dinner. We'll also have the M&S "dine-in" once a month. Just me and DP, usually we order pizza.

Hardly ever. It's a 25 minute drive to the nearest one and only one takeaway will deliver to us as we're in the middle of nowhere. Food far from piping hot (as you'd expect) when it arrives, so I'd rather spend the money on gin eating out.

Rarely. I think most takeaway food is poor quality and generally disappointing.

Almost never. DH doesn't like MacDs, curry, Chinese, sushi - last doesn't matter anyway as there is no sushi takeaway in ruralshire. I don't like Thai - again - no Thai takeaway here anyway in the back of beyond.

Plus no-one delivers to our village which eradicate the convenience factor.

Used to get a pizza from M+S about once a week but stopped that since I've been on a diet.

So effectively it's down to fish and chips once in a blue moon.
