To think that Prince George isn't all that.

I mean, he's cute and all- as much as any of our three year olds undoubtedly are. But it pisses me off when everyone fawns over him because he's supposedly sooooooo delicious and gorgeous when, actually, if he was flicking garlic bread at you from the next table at pizza express, he'd be as uncharming as anyone else's kid in the same scenario.

Nothing against him personally- I'm sure he is great. Just not any more or less great than anyone else's pre schooler.

londonbridge, I'd get all his clothes from ASDA if I were Kate - saves putting his name in for nursery.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 24/07/2016 13:53

Jesus fucking Christ! I KNOW what the op says as I can read.

My point about being goady is that the thread TITLE is knowingly goady.

Anyway, has op come back?

Meh I don't think hrs particularly cute or get all the gushing over him. He's just average. But I'm not a kid person really.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 24/07/2016 15:42

All babies are cute, stinky, giggly shits and smiles producing beings. Does that cover it? Grin

hollyisalovelyname · 24/07/2016 15:49

SisterMoonshine That is so funny Grin

Lottielou7 · 24/07/2016 16:03

I disagree that it's goady. Who is the OP trying to goad? The Royal arse lickers on here?

I felt it was obvious that what the thread title means is that George is very cute little boy like lots of cute little 3 year olds but there's a ridiculous expectation that we worship him because he happened to be born into the Royal family. Ie, in the wider context - just why are these people treated differently?

FaFoutis · 24/07/2016 16:08

I don't think it is goady either. OP is just making the point that he is just a normal child.

Isn't it time civilisation evolved out of this shit? Or do we still believe in divine right?

thisisafakename · 24/07/2016 16:12

Who is the OP trying to goad?

Maybe just as George is the Nation's Grandson, he is also the Nation's Son and these posters feel like the OP has insulted their own child. You'd think so from some of the comments on here anyway. Including the typical that she is jealous of him. Yeah, I bet she really really wishes she were a 3 year old boy.

Muskey · 24/07/2016 16:16

He is three

hotdiggedy · 24/07/2016 16:47

Nope, you were very rude StillStayingClassy.

Bit bored, actually.....

Julia2016 · 24/07/2016 17:30

Why would people wonder whether royal children throw strops, watch ceebeebs! Of course they do! The royals sell themselves on being perfect, crikey, they're not, they've good pr spinners!

I agree with the poster who said George will get to do amazing things and there's a trade off for that, lack of privacy.

He's a beautiful little boy, same as all kids. I think the point is that he is no better or worse than any child but I disagree fundamentally with the monarchy.

Just5minswithDacre · 24/07/2016 17:30

He's the nation's what? ConfusedHmm

He's just a three year old. He doesn't belong to anybody but his own family. Leave the poor child alone.

UnikittyInHerBusinessSuit · 24/07/2016 18:28

I'm standing by "the nation's grandson" actually. Like Blue Peter has animals to give children who can't have pets of their own a sense of vicarious ownership, I reckon that all these Prince George pull out full colour photo supplements in the Daily Express are filling an emotional need in some people - much like the soaps fill a need for gossip amongst people who don't have large and complicated families to bitch about. The Royal Family are "ours" in a variety of complicated ways.

Just5minswithDacre · 24/07/2016 18:51

I've never heard a better argument for releasing the poor things into the wild.

UnikittyInHerBusinessSuit · 24/07/2016 18:54

It's not a job I personally would choose for my child I grant you, but there are worse.

Goingtobeawesome · 24/07/2016 18:58

Oh dear. Another hard of thinking poster. Just because someone might say Prince George is really cute isn't them also saying no other three year old is cute.

Cordelia1234 · 24/07/2016 19:05

OP..a bit mean spirited...this boy hasn't asked for this role in life..

2kids2dogsnosense · 24/07/2016 19:07

Have to admit that my kids were cuter than any others I've seen. I mean, the others are alright, but . . .

Anniegetyourgun · 24/07/2016 19:14

I used to think that no-one could be as cute as my DC. But then the DGC came along.

goodbyestranger · 24/07/2016 19:14

I don't even agree that he's 'cute'. Or that all 3 year old's are cute. Some are bloody awful, just like adults. I do feel sorry for him that his mother dresses him such completely ridiculous clothes but beyond that I'm neutral.

Some very optimistic posters here thinking the monarchy will make it through Charles and Camilla then William and Kate so that George gets a toe in the door. I'd have thought its days were numbered.

Pisssssedofff · 24/07/2016 19:47

I sincerely hope they are numbered! In the same way I guess Kate's alright looking, so she bloody should be with the stressfree, pampered existence she leads, George and Charlotte will be worry line free with the best of everything too, I guess that helps with your cuteness v's some poor kid who's not had a vitamin in its 3 total years of life
