To think that Prince George isn't all that.

I mean, he's cute and all- as much as any of our three year olds undoubtedly are. But it pisses me off when everyone fawns over him because he's supposedly sooooooo delicious and gorgeous when, actually, if he was flicking garlic bread at you from the next table at pizza express, he'd be as uncharming as anyone else's kid in the same scenario.

Nothing against him personally- I'm sure he is great. Just not any more or less great than anyone else's pre schooler.

He's a good looking little lad. He has a definite mischievous twinkle about him. I'm a total republican but I think he's a lovely little boy.

confusionis · 23/07/2016 20:05

You need to change your thread title in that case. What is bothering you is the way people fawn over the child of a rich couple. Have you seen how people fawned over the brangelina twins, and that despite the fact that Brangelina already had other kids?

I have two cousins, one very well off and the other not. My mom tells of some woman who gave the child of the well off woman a tenner (traditional present) whilst none to the similarly aged child of the not well off cousin, whilst both in the same room

Ihatechoosingnames · 23/07/2016 20:05

I know what you mean OP. I find the fawning over him and Charlotte weird as fuck tbh

DownstairsMixUp · 23/07/2016 20:06

I think I'm too young to remember too much, I still really remember them at Thorpe Park but they were quite a bit older then weren't they? Lots of my FB feed like the royals so I get a lot of it pop up in the "so and so likes this" on my news feed. I can't say I'm fussed about any baby celebrities tbh but of course both the babies are cute, and I do love the outfits.

Hassled · 23/07/2016 20:06

But people fawn over him because he's the future king - not because he's cute. Although he is cute. Not as cute as my DCs were at 3, obviously, but if he were flicking garlic bread at me I'd still think "Cute".

BrexitentialCrisis · 23/07/2016 20:07

Not sure where all these jam tarts are coming from- I haven't for a moment said anything horrid about him! For the millionth time- I think he seems like a fun and sparky and cute kid, just like all kids who are three. My point is more about the media who seem amazed every time they see him. It's like they've never set eyes on a sparky, happy three year old before and can't believe it!

He is cute.

You only have to look at the queen's cousins and her children and nieces and nephews to realise what a bunch of fuglies they were until the cute but normal looking George and Charlotte arrived.

squoosh · 23/07/2016 20:08

George has obviously been reporting some posts. What a grass.

wibblewobble8 · 23/07/2016 20:09

Totally with you OP. Its not George, hes just a wee kid. Its the people fawing all over him. But then id get rid of all the royals in one clean sweep so what do i know Grin

Dutchcourage · 23/07/2016 20:10

You have started a negative thread shout a three year old child? Hmm

Here OP, have my first Biscuit

You sound like someone I know. She got married soon after Kate and William - their wedding was sooooo much better. They had their first son not long after George was born - their son is a million times cuter than George. Ditto their daughter/Charlotte. Their kids are better dressed, have better names, more intelligent, have shinier shit than George and Charlotte cute kids bit definitely nit better dressed/names. Her wedding dress was an overpriced mess, especially compared to Kate Middleton 's.

It's the weekend, have some Cake and Wine

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 23/07/2016 20:14

He's a 3 year old doing something in s photo.

I look at photos of him, his Sister, cousin and any other 3 year old and think 'nice'.

To start a thread expressing your annoyance that he might be considered by some to be ' all that ' is fucking ridiculous.

Happyon · 23/07/2016 20:14

YANBU

thisisafakename · 23/07/2016 20:15

He's the future king

Seriously, fingers double and triple crossed that the monarchy will have been long-abolished before that becomes a possibility. I don't think either William or Charles really wants to be King and the death of the Queen would be the perfect opportunity to end a completely archaic tradition.

DoNotBlameMeIVotedRemain · 23/07/2016 20:16

He's very sweet. Of course he's not sweeter than your kids (to you) or my kids (to me) Smile

Excited101 · 23/07/2016 20:17

Nasty, nasty thread.

mzS1990 · 23/07/2016 20:17

He's the future king and for me, the appeal is he doesn't even know it.

Yes he is a super cutie. It's just the way he waves and has no idea what the future holds, and how the country sees him. That's the 'aww' factor for me.

I remember when he was born, and someone posted on facebook ' what's the fuss, I've had a son, it wasn't all over the news'

Uuuummm you didn't give birth to the future king? Her response to that?
'He is my prince though!'

Erm yea. But he isn't an actual real prince is he.

hotdiggedy · 23/07/2016 20:18

I'm with you Op!

mzS1990 · 23/07/2016 20:19

So to all of you sayin 'my three year old is cuter'. Whatever, he isn't a future king though Wink

MissBeaHaving · 23/07/2016 20:20

There was thread a day or so ago bashing his mum,now onto the kids?

It's bit distasteful tbh.

UpsyDaisy123 · 23/07/2016 20:21

Seriously? It's a nice evening. Go out and find something better to do than criticizing the appearance of someone else's toddler.
