I'm not rich, far from it, minimum wage 25hours a week
Always wanted a radley picture bag but can't really afford it
Saw it reduced, £229 to £123
Decided to break the bank and buy it, 3 days after it arrives it was reduced to £113 grrrrr
Rang customer services they said they can't refund the difference but I can reorder and return, so I did
Now it's down to £103
Shall I reorder and return again??!! This is getting silly, but I paid on my credit card and every £10 off helps!!
I've got the balance down to £40so if I do it again I'll only owe £30 on my credit card
What would you do???!!!! Don't want to get black balled!!!

I didn't get that dress any more dirty than a couple of women trying it on in the shop.

You just won't have it will you? You wore a dress with the tag in to a party so you could return it for a refund by pretending it was unworn. That's minging and deceitful and nothing you post will change that.

FeelingSmurfy · 19/07/2016 23:35

I wouldn't because the stress and effort of returning stuff wouldn't be worth £10 to me, but if you aren't bothered with that then do it

I would also use the bag and send third one back with first/second receipt. It's the exact same bag, nobody loses anything but you get to use the bag in the meantime

FeelingSmurfy · 19/07/2016 23:36

Meaning back is delivered, parcelled back up and returned straight away, NOT suggesting using a bag and then returning that one

ailith · 19/07/2016 23:41

OP:
Radley is supposedly "naff" and very unstylish, anyway.

SistersOfPercy · 19/07/2016 23:44

Radley is supposedly "naff" and very unstylish, anyway

Oh that's nice to know. I've always bought what I like and never could give a flying fuck what others thought. Might pick up some items a little cheaper then Grin

ailith · 19/07/2016 23:45

SuburbanRhonda:

Exactly. She knew very well what she was doing wearing a dress with the tag still attached. That is a revolting thing to do. Does the tag wearer have no shame? Ugh

ailith · 19/07/2016 23:46

Sisters:

Of course it's an unstylish brand. Think stupid little dog, for heaven's sake.

poorpaws · 20/07/2016 00:49

I love Radley and I don't care if no one else on here likes them. The quality of their bags/purses etc is superb and I wouldn't buy any other brand. Enjoy your bag OP.

DeltaSunrise · 20/07/2016 01:21

I do this all the time (seems to be mostly toys I pick up for dc's birthdays/Xmas) but I don't know if I'd go to the bother for £10.

I once bought a Lego set for $200 and popped it away for Xmas, less than a week later the same Lego set was in clearance (new sets/boxes due out) for $40. I absolutely had no shame in returning the first one and rebuying it. I saved $160, who wouldn't? Also a few other things saving me $50 and up each time.

But for a luxury item you have treated yourself to and that you love and wouldn't be without? For £10? I don't think I'd bother tbh.

Just enjoy your bag.

Glastokitty · 20/07/2016 02:38

God people on here can be such bitches! All you people turning your noses up at Radley bags, other people are allowed to like different stuff than you! So all you people making snide remarks about them being unstylish granny bags or whatever, I hope you're proud of yourselves. What do you hope to achieve making such comments? Do you go round telling people to their faces that their bag is stupid and their boots are ugly? So why say it here? I have no idea what a Radley bag is, but I wouldn't dream of being so rude.

OlennasWimple · 20/07/2016 03:18

I quite like Radley bags - they're good quality

Taking clothes back after you've worn them is still skanky, however

MiracletoCome · 20/07/2016 06:53

I quite like the bag if it's the one I think it is, in fact after seeing the reductions on the Radley site I may stalk a few bags myself.

WanderingTrolley1 · 20/07/2016 06:53

Radley bags are quite hideous, as is returning something after wearing it complete with the tags.

BuntyFigglesworthSpiffington · 20/07/2016 10:23

I used to think Radley bags were hideous but they've upped their game recently. There are several bags here I'd be happy to own!. Still don't like the dog logo thingy though.

GeekyWombat · 20/07/2016 16:21

OP I'm another Radley bag lover :)

Have you ever been to one of the Radley outlet shops? My husband and I do a 'treat yo'self' day as a wedding anniversary thing rather than getting gifts and went to an outlet park thing in Braintree, Essex. I got a £229 Radley handbag for £40. They take the ordinary Radley gift vouchers too (found that out at my birthday ;))

(I'd totally return it btw - I love my bag, but the fact it was a bargain makes it even fabber)

GeekyWombat · 20/07/2016 16:25

SistersofPercy I just looked up what Loungefly is...

Oh. My.

I am going to America later in the year. A new Star Wars handbag shall be mine! Thank you! Flowers

LittleSparkes · 20/07/2016 16:55

I wouldn't want one of these bags if they were giving them away.

But if it makes you happy so what you want.

BananaChew · 20/07/2016 16:57

I absolutely would. That's pretty shit customer service though!

mathanxiety · 20/07/2016 17:11

I would do it (but not for a Radley bag Wink).

Have you looked online for that particular bag? You might find someone e-baying it and get it for even less.

SuburbanRhonda · 20/07/2016 17:12

God people on here can be such bitches!

I wouldn't dream of being so rude.

Hmm
Aeroflotgirl · 20/07/2016 17:15

Totally pointless op, just return it and wait a couple of weeks. What a faff. Or keep it and enjoy the bag.

SistersOfPercy · 20/07/2016 17:16

GeekyWombat
I bought these.... I blame DH entirely because he spotted the green one and said 'OOooh look! That bag matches your tattoo!' (I have a Boba with roses tattoo on my left arm thats almost identical). Of course I had to have it, then you need a matching purse dont you? And then I saw the little leather one as well and thought sod it Grin
They do have some amazing bags and aren't licensed in the UK for most of them.

Incidentally, I agree with geekyWombat the outlets can be great. The one at Cheshire Oaks has some real bargains sometimes (I paid a fiver for one of the large clear umbrellas last year).
The Coach outlet there still leaves me gasping at the price. I adore Coach bags but they are so expensive I don't own many Sad

MrsHathaway · 20/07/2016 17:19

Might think that it's more of a good plan for OP to return it than other people as her time is cheaper. A lawyer who can earn £100 in the half hour it takes to organise the return, not so much.

Re: returning a worn dress. If it's crap, return as faulty for a full refund under statutory rights. No need for deception.

Woodhill · 20/07/2016 17:28

I like Radley too but don't agree with people pretending they haven't worn things and returning them, very dishonest.
