To report druggie headteacher neighbour?

I know this sounds like a fake Daily Mail story but honestly it's true! Would love some objective opinions.
My next door neighbours are a couple in their 50s with 2 20ish year old sons. We have had major fallings out over their parties (till 4am regularly) and reported to the council, so parties have died down. They have all regularly smoked weed (day to day) and done laughing gas (at parties). We can see this over our fence as they are always in the garden.
My DS1 has asthma and we can smell the weed in our house. We have told them to stop but they continue. Now looks like they are growing weed (see photo). Her husband doesn't work and smokes weed all day, which obviously has an impact on how we use our garden.
I'm a teacher too and am sick of this woman's hypocrisy of being a head teacher in local primary school. Teachers have to follow the standards which includes upholding the law.
I know this is now a personal vent but I am so angry with the years of noise and drug taking that I kind of want her to suffer too Blush
Anyway, do I shop her to the school governors? Maybe call 101? Or live and let live and look forward to when we can afford to move?

I'm glad you love them. Perhaps you could knock on the door at 3am on a Wednesday when 6 months pregnant, working full time with another DS who has woken crying to ask them to turn it down. Sorry, I know the nettle thing must be hilarious, but I have had enough.

I had a cannabis plant on my window ledge when I was a teen. My Mum stole it!

LockedOutOfMN · 10/07/2016 22:51

These people are bad neighbours, but there is no evidence the lady is a bad headmistress. If their antisocial behaviour is continuing to cause problems for your family and they do not respond to your direct requests to them to stop, then you must call the relevant departments at the council (or, if appropriate, the police), regarding their antisocial behaviour and its effects on you as their neighbours. It is not for you to comment on her job.

Houseworkavoider · 10/07/2016 22:52

Unmm..
They are (my guess) making nettel plant feed.

ExasperatedAlmostAlways · 10/07/2016 22:53

I just Google image searched young cannabis plant and it does look like that. So everyone slagging you saying it's a nettle is a bit daft.

Report it if you want to the police. I hate the smell of hash so I'd be raging having to smell it every day too.

george1020 · 10/07/2016 22:55

Just because that photo is not cannabis doesn't mean you can't get help for the other issues with your Neighbors. Can you speak to the council or Citizens advice and see if they can offer any suggestions?

Marcipex · 10/07/2016 22:55

I'm still saying nettle.

OiWithThePoodlesAlready · 10/07/2016 22:56

That's definitely not a nettle!

PortiaCastis · 10/07/2016 22:57

Is this their cat

I've just google searched young cannabis plant and it looks nothing like.

I'd love to see the police turn up to find nettles. Although if you told them there was a weed growing then you'd be telling the truth.

bumsexatthebingo · 10/07/2016 23:03

I can see where you're coming from op. As a head teacher she is required to uphold certain standards out of school as a representative of the school the same way all teachers are. If you are sure it is her smoking it rather than the sons and she doesn't have a medical need I would report. Just be prepared that they will suspect it is you who has done it if you've already complained to them about it.

Doinmummy · 10/07/2016 23:03

I feel for you Op , bad neighbours are awful . I can imagine how pissed off you are , I would be too as I hate the smell of weed.

MonkeysWAGMug · 10/07/2016 23:04

Grin Castis

Disabrie22 · 10/07/2016 23:06

I lived next door to a family with a teenage boy who smoked weed all the time and it came through the walls - it was horrible with a young baby in the house. If they were my neighbours it would drive me up the wall but I don't think shopping her will help you - poor you

legotits · 10/07/2016 23:06

That's not cannabis Sad

Crispbutty · 10/07/2016 23:07

trust me, that aint weed.. the leaves are wrong and its too straggly, and they wouldnt put it outside to risk contamination...

CrowyMcCrowFace · 10/07/2016 23:08

I would also be nettled by this .

Sorry OP. Can see they are a PITA, but I've found things growing in my fridge that look more like a cannabis plant than that does.

hellsbells99 · 10/07/2016 23:08

Nettles help cannabis plant grow so maybe there are both in there?

LittleLionMansMummy · 10/07/2016 23:08

I love the smell of weed and this in and of itself wouldn't bother me. I have grown it and don't think the pic looks like even a young plant. However you sound at the end of your tether op and for that I am sorry. I'm afraid I don't have much advice on handling the situation as it seems you've exhausted other avenues, but am not sure that reporting them to the police is the right way.

midsomermurderess · 10/07/2016 23:11

Are there more of these threads going about these days, people wanting to report others for their perceived bad behaviour? All a bit Lives of Others. Thank Christ I live in a flat in a stair where we all mind our own business.

PamDooveOrangeJoof · 10/07/2016 23:15

I would report antisocial noise to council. If you call them up at 2 in the morning they will come out. Ours had an out of hours team.
Then you can take from there.

You could say about the weed smoking too.

Fair enough saying live and let live. But not when people are making your life a misery through their antisocial behaviour.

Our noisy and aggressive neighbours had a huge impact on our lives

PamDooveOrangeJoof · 10/07/2016 23:15

Ps what do they say when you speak to them about it?

ohtheholidays · 10/07/2016 23:21

I'd report the headmistress.

We had the same with a neighbour, that neighbour worked at the local school that I worked at and my DC attended.

I reported her and the Headmistress called her in straight away and sorted it out. We'd already had the council and the Police involved and I'd had enough, her grown up son was the worst of the problem even when I bought home my 4th DC from the hospital there was music blaring all through the night and the stink of weed being smoked.

For the head of a school to be behaving like that and letting that go on in they're own home is a disgrace, like another poster said they're responsible for so many young lifes and the staff and the overal welfare of the school!

noblegiraffe · 10/07/2016 23:23

I do feel sorry for you, we had weed-smoking noisy neighbours, the stench meant we couldn't use our garden and had to keep the windows closed even when it was warm.

Our neighbours called the local police because of the smell and they got a visit from some community police officers but it did bugger all. Thankfully they were only renting and had to move out when the owner sold up but it was really miserable while they were there.

The local police may visit for their anti social behaviour which could stop her given her job?

Glovebug · 10/07/2016 23:24

That does look like a nettle
