To wear jeans to a wedding

I have a wedding coming up. Not back to pre baby body and still feel very self conscious about wearing dresses.
I was thinking black jeans & heels with this white top - m2.hm.com/m/en_gb/productpage.0409683002.html
And this jacket - m2.hm.com/m/en_gb/productpage.0338033003.html
Or will it look too casual? Hopefully the links all work Confused

How about wearing a breastfeeding dress, even if you are not breastfeeding, the dresses are usually sympathetically designed to cover any areas new mums are sympathetic.

YSL smoking suit Envy Pretty sure I know the suit you mean ... you lucky woman!

Can we have a photo of the quiff, please? Grin

OP, I'm of the "wear what makes you feel good about yourself" persuasion. But since you asked, I don't think that blazer goes with the jeans. A longish, loose shirt might look more stylish, and also help you feel less vulnerable. Jazz it up with shoes and accessories.

How about a capri's in a floral print. They would like fine for a wedding with the right top.

mummyto2monkeys · 10/07/2016 08:44

Or go vintage, embrace your tiny waist, buy a big underskirt and rock a fifties style dress

Agree that dresses or skirts are often more flattering than jeans anyway. Do keep a look out OP. I am in the jeans = not weddingy camp, and if you're set on trousers I think the suggestions above of wide legged trousers and floaty top, or floral capris, are good.

Silvercatowner · 10/07/2016 10:30

If it were my wedding I would not care what you wore as long as you were there, happy and comfortable. But if I were to get married again I would elope, because this is the sort of thing that puts me off any sort of 'do'.

I bought a dress after all the advice from everyone.
Thank you for all your suggestions & help Grin

That's lovely! A really great flattering print and waistline.

Pepperbury, which is linked to Bravissimo, do some lovely dresses for curvey ladies, quite flattering and smart.

Aeroflotgirl · 10/07/2016 16:36

Evening time you could get away with just about, not ceremony though. Maybe try finding jewellery like a decorative necklace too? Just to stray away from being too casualGrin
