I have a wedding coming up. Not back to pre baby body and still feel very self conscious about wearing dresses.
I was thinking black jeans & heels with this white top - m2.hm.com/m/en_gb/productpage.0409683002.html
And this jacket - m2.hm.com/m/en_gb/productpage.0338033003.html
Or will it look too casual? Hopefully the links all work Confused

Wow can't believe the amount of people saying no. A part from I think it's a nice outfit, you have to be in something you are comfortable with. Not everyone likes wearing dresses etc I'm not sure (and don't take this the wrong way) why anyone would be too bothered about what you wear, surely the focus is on the B&G? My auntie turned up to my sisters wedding in a pair of leggings and a slouch jumper which was too casual imho but no one batted an eye lid and no one talked about her. My sister certainly didn't get upset because she felt my auntie didn't care, she was just happy that she had managed to come.

A well chosen dress (maybe one with a bodycon panel inside) would probably help disguise any baby weight far better than jeans. Elongate your torso by the use of vertical stripes or seams and avoid any details around midriff/waist area. Go for a V-neck or cowl neck and draw attention to the upper part of the body by choosing a dress with shoulder details or wearing a lovely eye-catching corsage and/or hat. If you choose separates go for a darker, plain coloured lower half with a vibrant/patterned top. I'm sure you'd be able to find lots of advice on what to wear for different body shapes online or you could telephone your nearest John Lewis or Debenhams and book an appointment with their Personal Shopper who'd be able to help you choose something that looks great on you. Just go and enjoy the day. You'll look stunning and no one will even notice your baby shape and even if they do, so what? You've had a gorgeous new baby and that's something to be very proud of.
