That's a lovely drawing! I'd have that on my wall, I really like it!

Tiggeryoubastard · 04/05/2016 21:38

That's look great on a t shirt.

DeadAsADildo · 04/05/2016 21:43

My cat did this when he was 3. I think it is ok, but my tail is not that fat in real lifeGrin

I am very envious of all your artistically talented children. My dd once drew a picture of me, herself and her father to be put onto a cup. God forgive me, but we all looked liked a recruitment poster for the KKK. Odd shroudy looking figures bearing no resemblence to a human.

She is still rubbish at art, she's in Yr3 (state school) and hasn,t had an art lesson this this Sad . I loved art at school and was quite good, it's a massive disapointment to me that she can't underline a sentence without crossing it out! Grin

Laughing at Tigger and Crone's posts! Grin

Here's my 12-year-old DS's best effort which he still insists is rubbish - I love it. It's quite delicate, which is not his normal style, to say the least.

Wow Tinkly that is great!

Hurryup2016 · 05/05/2016 12:09

Grand, thank you. Great to hear from a professional.

Tinkly, how old is your DD?

Knit, I like that.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 05/05/2016 12:13

Ha ha, DD is 16, so not 6 or anything. She did it on a big piece of brown paper the other day when she probably should have been revising. She is dropping A level Art though.

mumoseven · 05/05/2016 12:14

Haha splendide! I think the ammunition belts are an attempt to show my fondness for over shoulder bags. All that's missing is a glass o wine and a fag

CharlieJamie · 05/05/2016 12:18

Thought I'd join in! Grin

DS is 12 Smile his art teacher was happy, but I think it is actually just average! This thread has some fab artists Smile

I never thought it was average, I thought it was bloody brilliant! Until I saw this thread Grin

ShowOfHands · 05/05/2016 12:27

8yo dd drew this on my chalk board yesterday. It's lovely but she RUBBED OUT MY SHOPPING LIST.

Reminds me of Picasso OP. But how old is your child????

Janey50 · 05/05/2016 12:47

ShowOfHands Wow! I am impressed! That is really good for an 8 year old.

Katemustsew · 05/05/2016 12:57

This is my nine year olds home work. I am the one with the dangly boobs!

Quietvoiceplease · 05/05/2016 13:00

I think its a great picture OP, particularly for a 6yo. It looks like a picture they have put a lot of love and care into, and that is what makes it special imho.

But, lets get things in perspective. In parts of the world, there are 6yo children who can make shoes, and T-shirts. So in the grand scheme, its a bit crap.

SalemSaberhagen · 05/05/2016 13:59

I think it's great OP!

DSis is 15 and has ASD and GLD.

These are the current landscapes she is working on. She is predicted a B in Art at her mainstream school. Can't believe she might actually get a GCSE grade in something Smile We are all so proud!

MardleBum · 05/05/2016 14:11

that's lovely Kate I bet you were thrilled with those. Grin

Are you really much taller than DH? Apparently young children draw people's sizes according to how much importance they have in their lives so you are either very tall or the most important.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 05/05/2016 14:21

Salem - a B? and she does drawings like those? they're joking, aren't they? I think they're amazing, especially the top one! I'd give them an A any day!

Although there are some amazingly good pieces of art on this thread, I have to say, Salem, that the top drawing of your DD's you've shown there is my favourite so far. (That and Kate's DD's drawing of her with dangly boobs, that is - but for very different reasons of course! Grin)
