I rather like it.

Owllady · 04/05/2016 11:02

That's very good u2 :)

I did my (textiles) degree at a dedicated art college and none of my children are arty :( it's incredibly disappointing...

I remember when my youngest ds was about three, he drew what looked like an embelished cross on his blackboard. Encouragingly I said, oh what a lovely cross.....his eyes narrowed and he said crossly 'it's the angel of the north!'
Confused

GeezeLouiseBelcher · 04/05/2016 11:02

Ds's class were doing these types of portraits in school - so I'm gonna say year 4-6

AugustaFinkNottle · 04/05/2016 11:02

What's the blue thing with the spikes sticking out of it?

ImNotThatGirl · 04/05/2016 11:04

I think it's good but I have no frame of reference because my kids are shit at art. Grin it's a genetic flaw!

AssembleTheMinions · 04/05/2016 11:04

This is dds. It's inspired from Attack on Titan and she was 11 when she drew it for a friend's birthday.

Thanks Owl

I don't have an artistic bone in my body so I'm always really envious of people who do.

I am pretty much impressed by any drawing that isn't stick men as that is all I can manage.

AssembleTheMinions · 04/05/2016 11:05

U2, that's brilliant. I really like that.

Sallystyle · 04/05/2016 11:05

That's awesome Assemble

My son just does dark stuff. Some of his work makes me worry about what is going on in his head!

hmcAsWas · 04/05/2016 11:06

That's very original, interesting and accomplished imo U2 (although I am no expert)

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 04/05/2016 11:06

That's good, Assemble.

U2 - your DS's is good too, but I don't like it. I can see it's good but I find it unappealing. :(

Owllady · 04/05/2016 11:08

Gosh assemble that's bloody impressive for eleven! :)

MattDillonsPants · 04/05/2016 11:08

OP's not coming back.

Sallystyle · 04/05/2016 11:10

It's not original but he does his own as well.

Thumb I understand what you mean. I look at a lot of his work and it makes me feel uneasy. He says it's meant to though.

hmcAsWas · 04/05/2016 11:12

Just seen Assembles' dc's drawing - another impressive one.

LadyReuleaux · 04/05/2016 11:14

If they're 19 and at St Martin's College, I'm not going to lie to you...

Thanks Liney that gave me a much needed guffaw!

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 04/05/2016 11:16

In which case, U2, he's doing fantastically well - he's creating the impression he wants to, which is excellent in art terms. So long as he finds people who do like it, he's onto a winner!

Custardcream33 · 04/05/2016 11:21

??? completely pointless Q without giving us the age of the child. He could be 43 for all we know!

Writerwannabe83 · 04/05/2016 11:21

This is my DS's - he's only just turned two though Grin

We have some very talented children on here!!

MardleBum · 04/05/2016 11:26

hahahaha Writer that's beautiful Grin

MattDillonsPants · 04/05/2016 11:26

Writer blinking masterpiece that! He's obviously expressing frustration at a Capitalist society and a growing awareness of his personal struggles reflected therein.... Grin

ijustwannadance · 04/05/2016 11:26

U2 I like your son's style and he clearly knows himself well. Great art is meant to cause an emotional response. I think if his non copyied stuff is like this it would sell really well.

MardleBum · 04/05/2016 11:26

I had a laugh at Liney as well Grin

Hurryup2016 · 04/05/2016 11:28

Child is 6
