Miffle Grin.
DD loves drawing and DH (because he's naive) would give her crayons and paper to draw when they were going somewhere in a car. It ended when she proudly presented him with a beautiful waterfall painted on the inside of her car door.

I think it's pretty good OP! Really enjoying this thread Smile

LineyReborn · 04/05/2016 16:24

I really like the window box, Eve.

Sallystyle · 04/05/2016 17:31

Some great work here! DS not selling his work yet as he thinks it's not good enough. He had his college interview and they loved his stuff so much they took it to show other teachers and he got on the fine art course :) proud mum moment

ManonCrempog · 04/05/2016 17:37

Please send me a PM when he does decide to sell his amazing work U2 - he is really brilliant

Squashybanana · 04/05/2016 18:04

I love this thread and looking at all the pics (especially the Van Gogh drawn by the cat, lol). My DD is very variable but this is one of my favourites she's done; I love the sense of movement. She is 5.

U2 that is lovely. Can we (mumsnetters) get a discount when he starts selling? Actually, can we buy now before he becomes famous and his pictures become unaffordable for some of us 😁

It's better than Sean Scully's and his are worth 7 figure sums Smile

SilverBirchWithout · 04/05/2016 18:40

Surely the Sunflowers picture and the Starry Night references are channelling Vincent Van Gogh not Picasso?

DailyMailThicko · 04/05/2016 18:43

OP, I like that picture. It's bold and colorful.

SilverBirchWithout · 04/05/2016 18:46

Whoops already been said Blush

NameChanger22 · 04/05/2016 19:04

When dd was 1 she drew this. I love it.

NameChanger22 wow, that's actually really marvelous. They are each unique and have very clear facial expressions. Love it. Who did she draw?

NameChanger22 · 04/05/2016 19:07

I don't know who it was, she could draw before she could talk. She's 9 now, everyone thinks she's an artist.

OvO · 04/05/2016 19:19

I've posted this before but it never fails to make me laugh so I'll post it again. My DS was 6 when he drew it.

I swear he's a well adjusted little boy! Grin

Oh and I was very scared proud as I could never draw such a terrifying shark even at age 35!

Natsku · 04/05/2016 19:26

I remember when DD was having her 3 year check up and the nurse was checking her drawing skills and asked her to draw a square - she was very surprised and impressed that DD first drew 4 dots for the corners of the square and then connected them, no idea how she came up with that idea (NameChanger's pic reminding me of that, the second on the left having such straight lines nearly)

Writerwannabe83 · 04/05/2016 20:28

That's brilliant Ovo - a lovely insight into an innocent child's mind Grin

Tiggeryoubastard · 04/05/2016 20:55

That's really good, Ovo, it's amazingly well put together. My youngest is quite talented and used to draw horrible stuff. He also used to draw all the family with his dad arresting his brother with a giant truncheon and mummy (me) in a cell (HMP, not an offender)I still wonder what they thought of us.

Backingvocals · 04/05/2016 20:56

Love the shark one.

I've had a sudden flash back to the Gallery on Vision On Grin

originalmavis · 04/05/2016 21:01

Well my DS is a published artist!

My sister is in editorial and she needed a pic for a book they were doing and DS was poddling around so she asked him to draw a fairy.

Catsize · 04/05/2016 21:18

My son does smiley faces. But they always have to have knew and feet. This is on its side, sorry. He is 4, with no particular talent for drawing, but his smiley faces make me smiley too and they have evolved with time - they didn't used to have knees for example.
He draws them on my iPad to cheer me up at work.
