Have a bad back or aching muscles?

Sod buying an expensive massager.

A child's toy car (the metal hot wheels type) is a perfect tool.

Discovered it today and my God does it feel nice

Have a samsung phone? Text without taking your fingers off the screen except between words. Whizz your finger roughly in the direction of each letter and hey presto your text is written in a fraction of the time.

Aps can be downloaded for other phones to do the same thing.

dowhatnow · 21/04/2016 12:39

Apps

LittleMachine · 21/04/2016 12:41

Really NN? What do you do with it? My DH is having a terrible time with his back.

NeedACleverNN · 21/04/2016 12:45

Just "drive" the car. I did it to my dh in a jokey manner and he actually groaned cos it felt nice.

Did it to me and I actually have aching sore muscles in my back and it felt lovely. Pressed harder where it was tight

a paint roller does a good job on an aching back as well

NeedACleverNN · 21/04/2016 18:05

Don't have any paint rollers but we have plenty of toy cars. Dd loves them

I have heard of using tennis balls for the arches of your feet though

winchester1 · 21/04/2016 18:08

Oh my toddler does this too.me driving his car or my shoulders its lovely.

CakeNinja · 21/04/2016 18:08

If you have paperwork that needs dealing with, piles of stuff that needs tending to, throw it all in the bin. If it's that important, someone will write to you again.

Disclaimer, please don't use my tip if you are in serious danger of repossession/having your leccy cut off/need to make an appointment.

MeanwhileHighAboveTheField · 21/04/2016 18:10

Is that really true? The texting thing! It is !

MeanwhileHighAboveTheField · 21/04/2016 18:10

Mine is a windows phone

NeedACleverNN · 21/04/2016 18:13

I think the texting thing only works on Samsung unless you download an app. Don't know which one though.

And good job you added a disclaimer cakeninja

I don't think telling the baliffs you threw their letter in the bin because some one on mn told you to will work Grin

Get yourself a road map T-shirt, hours of fun right there Grin

Wibu to tell you this little tip
Elevader · 21/04/2016 18:15

The app is called Swiftkey

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 21/04/2016 18:16

creepy guy in halls used to allocate a toy car to his female friends

not sure he ever got to use them mind....everyone was horrified at his general sleaziness

and google keyboard does the swiping thing.

TheChippendenSpook · 21/04/2016 18:16

The texting thing works on my LG :-)

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 21/04/2016 18:16

You could superglue a lot of cars to your bedroom wall and then rub your back against all the wheels.
That would be amazing. The draw back being that it would be time consuming to construct and your son will be in floods of tears when he sees what you've done with his Hot Wheels collection Grin

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 21/04/2016 18:16

the original app is called Swype (i think)

CakeNinja · 21/04/2016 18:18

I don't think telling the baliffs you threw their letter in the bin because some one on mn told you to will work

Well quite, I don't want to go getting anyone into trouble! But it's quite cathartic Grin

NeedACleverNN · 21/04/2016 18:20

Is it bad I'm actually considering that t-shirt?

your son will be in floods of tears when he sees what you've done with his Hot Wheels collection

I think my 3 year old daughter would scream bloody murder at me instead of cry.

OP posts:
rogueantimatter · 21/04/2016 18:39

Magnesium oil sprayed on and rubbed in is also very good.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 21/04/2016 18:44

Sorry, for calling your daughter a boy!
Thinking about it, by the time you've finished gluing 58 cars to the wall your back will be knackered anyway.
Go with the t shirt, it's not a bad look Wink

Witchend · 21/04/2016 18:49

Have you considered collecting a lot of little metal bottle tops and nailing them upside down to the floor? This will give you the sensation of....

Walking on little metal bottle tops nailed upside down to the floor.
(thank Flanders and Swann for that idea)

NeedACleverNN · 21/04/2016 18:49

Yeah. Least I can sit down with the tshirt

Would look a bit like a bear scratching a tree trunk if I glued cars to the wall

CigarsofthePharoahs · 21/04/2016 18:54

Did this happen on an episode of Friends? Smile
The swipe thing works on both my Android devices. It's a little bit hit and miss though, but perhaps I have fat fingers.
My tip is that whenever I find a good product on Amazon Marketplace, I google the company to find their direct website. You can usually get the goods cheaper.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 21/04/2016 18:55

That made me laugh Withchend
Have you considered putting lots of marbles in a bag and lying on them? I might try that in a quiet moment.
Remember those weird wooden beaded seat covers people used to attach to their car seats? Maybe they'll make a comeback.
