...to not wear pantyliners often?

This just occurred to me (for absolutely no reason other than being bored in the loo)...do people actually wear them all the time? I only wear them for the tail-end of my period, and then go without until the next one. Is that normal, or am I gross?

Never worn. Can understand those with minor incontinence issues but otherwise a massive (successful) ploy to get women to think their bits are somehow dirty. Don't get me started on 'feminine hygiene' products. All kinds of wrong.

bring what do you mean by started on feminine hygiene products?

Why does it always have to be companies getting us to think our bits are dirty, rather than just finding a gap in the market Confused
Some use sanitary towels so seems quite natural to me to have made a pantyliner.

I use them everyday. Periods before mirena were erratic to say the least so they caught any stray starts that would come through clothes. Now with the mirena i have zero periods but quite a bit of milky discharge so using liners means I can refresh throughout the day rather than sitting in sticky stuff all day. I wouldn't bother with them if not.

I have never worn one.

I sometimes wear them during my period in case I overflow my mooncup. But all sanitary products smell funny and make me itch like crazy so I avoid them if I can. I am going to buy some washable pads so I can avoid scratchy disposables forever.

I used to work with a woman who changed her pants three times a day to 'stay fresh'. She binned them too as worn pants are 'dirty' and this apparently can't be fixed by washing Hmm

Must have cost her a fortune Confused

I think that you're being perfectly reasonable and 'normal' with this. I wore them in the same way. Now that I'm past the menopause I only occasionally wear them if I know I'm going to be out for most of the day in case of those rare 'little accidents' which is surely what they're meant for?

Pixienott0005 · 19/04/2016 14:52

I never wear them. Sounds gross but they get kind of lost after about an hour.

HermioneJeanGranger · 19/04/2016 15:12

I wear them when I'm due my period, and right at the end where there's still some blood but not enough for a tampon.

I love Nandos Grin

I do wear them everyday as well, quite dischargy down there I'm afraid plus tincy incontinent after two kids. I can't imagine wearing them at the end of period...I have to wear a night panty towel with wings for that purpose and maxi super hyper mega flow tampon plus night towel during a period. And change them every bloody hour. After reading that thread I think so women are so lucky...

And I had to Google Nandos

As pearlylum said on the first page:
I never wear them. In the summer months when I wear a dress or a skirt I don't wear knickers either. I like the fresh air.

I also feel much, much cleaner and more comfortable like this.
