...to not wear pantyliners often?

This just occurred to me (for absolutely no reason other than being bored in the loo)...do people actually wear them all the time? I only wear them for the tail-end of my period, and then go without until the next one. Is that normal, or am I gross?

anyone looking for non-scented ones (most of us, I guess) - Tesco own-brand and ditto Wilkinson. V cheap too.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 13/04/2016 18:19

The Tesco own brand ones that I ordered were 'fresh scented' so I've got the value ones now in the hope I'm not paying for perfume!

CarsonTheButler · 13/04/2016 18:22

The US. My teenage DD has been in school here for about 5 months and even she is asking when she should start douching. Gynae health questionnaire asks how often you douche and even gives out free samples of all manner of horrendous smelling shite to keep you coming back there freshen up your fadge. You can spend hours in Wal-Mart just staring at the array of products for this purpose. Often see women putting douches into their supermarket trolleys as part of their big grocery shop.

I'm very much a soap and hot water down there woman and have always thought to leave the internal part well alone but I think I am in the minority here. I don't know anyone well enough here yet to ask them about it all but I am dying to.

lazymum99 · 13/04/2016 18:24

oddsocks thats pretty cool changing your knockers everyday! do you have a variety of sizes depending on how you feel Grin

Queenbean · 13/04/2016 18:25

I don't wear knickers at all but just wear panty liners in the inside of all my clothes instead, tights or jeans

If it's summer and no tights I'll double stick it on to my skin

lazymum99 · 13/04/2016 18:25

I used to use Always extra thin dailies but now they only seem to do scented and these irritate after a while.

Dotheskankyleg · 13/04/2016 18:30

Queenbean How on earth do you wear a panty liner inside jeans? Confused, I'm having visions of said panty liner falling through and flapping around my ankle whilst doing school run.

dementedpixie · 13/04/2016 18:32

Bodyform ones aren't scented

Forgetmenotblue · 13/04/2016 18:32

Truly queenbean? How do you get the buggers to stay put and not fall down the leg of your jeans?

I've never really used them....agree with pp that they are thrush in a packet. Plus the scented ones you can smell from a mile off. I've got a colleague who whiffs of them.

Flowers to those of you with continence issues though...have suffered with that in the past and its rubbish.

VertigoNun · 13/04/2016 18:32

[grin]@knockers.

I don't wear them. I use cheapo value towels at the end of my period.

I like to go commando on a hot summer day, though not in a Kate style parachute dress.

Queenbean · 13/04/2016 18:34

I'm joking :)

I haven't worn a pantyliner since I was about 16. And frankly felt conned by my clean-looking pants that still were going to get washed, so what's the point?

tibbawyrots · 13/04/2016 18:35

I have used them mid cycle as I need another barrier on occasion but not for ages now. I bought a shed load on boots.com when they had a misprice at 1p and still have umpteen packs left despite donating to the refuge (they collected from me) and the food bank.

chelle792 · 13/04/2016 18:35

I wear them every day but balance it by going commando every time I'm in the house! I guess I'm a pretty damp person and not having pantie liners causes more irritation from being damp

OddSocksHighHeels · 13/04/2016 18:37

Oops lazy the o and I are very close on the keypad and I stupidly type away expecting autocorrect to save me Grin I'd love to have different knockers for different outfits though!

Carson Shock how do the doctors act when you say you don't douche? So weird how countries can be so different on this, I wonder what causes it?

VertigoNun · 13/04/2016 18:40

Do you damp people have lots of sex?

limitedperiodonly · 13/04/2016 18:41

I've never worn a panty liner. Neither have I ever been to Nando's

LiquoriceAllsorts86 · 13/04/2016 18:42

I use tesco branded ones. They don't smell.

This thread has got me wondering why I use them so much. I might chill it out abit!

tibbawyrots · 13/04/2016 18:43

I didn't know that nandos served panty liners

limitedperiodonly · 13/04/2016 18:45

Do they? That's another reason for not going there

MrsMook · 13/04/2016 18:46

I'll use them at certain parts of my cycle, or when doing high impact activity. I mainly use washable pads which are much more comfortable and less thrush inducing.

CockacidalManiac · 13/04/2016 18:46

I change my knockers every day so I can't see how it's unhygienic.

I'm thinking Worzel Gummidge

OiWithThePoodlesAlready · 13/04/2016 18:49

The only time I have ever worn them was at the very tail end of post birth bleeding.

I actually didn't realise they were for discharge till I read it on here a few years ago. I thought they were just for people with super light periods.

Dutchess61 · 13/04/2016 18:50

Well I don't even wear pants let alone panty liners (except with a skirt of course) Hate the flipping things.

SatsukiKusakabe · 13/04/2016 18:50

I've never worn a panty liner. Neither have I ever been to Nando's

Favourite line of the day Grin

IwannabeKate · 13/04/2016 18:51

I never used or really understood them. Until I was pregnant and needed several a day...
