I think he must have something wrong with him. Is he a narcissistic psychopath or something like that?

Seriously. What kind of head does this sort of rubbish come from? I simply do not understand his appeal. I feel like I must inhabit a parallel universe or something.

When he was asked the question, I think he just panicked as he hadn't been briefed on that question, and tried to think quickly. You could almost see the neutrons firing in mass panic and coming up with the default position of cocksocket.

I have seen similar reactions in snr managers and directors when asked a tricky question.

LittleNelle · 01/04/2016 08:54

He's not really a christian and he's not really pro-life. He doesn't have a real stance on anything, other than to say whatever he thinks will win most votes. I mean he used to be a liberal who was mates with Clinton and even funded one of her campaigns!

His 'policies' so far have been - build a massive wall along the border, kick out all immigrants, and ban muslims. None of these things can happen, it's all fantasy.

Lweji · 01/04/2016 08:57

At this point in the campaign it's pathetic that he hadn't thought about this issue. It's key in every election in the US.

MrsJayy · 01/04/2016 09:03

His campaign team must be twitching every time he opens his gob he just says stuff he is on some super ego trip the retraction was put out to save face

MrsJayy · 01/04/2016 09:05

Did he not say in 1998 or there abouts he would run for president as republican and everybody who watched Fox news would vote for him?

Topseyt · 01/04/2016 09:19

It was not misreported at all. Glad to see the slimeball squirming like that.

Anything that could help knock Trump off his perch is just what we need to see right now as the mere thought of him potentially getting into the White House is terrifying.

I am pro choice btw. His comments were horrific.

OrraBoralis · 01/04/2016 09:32

This was discussed in depth on a forum I am part of which consists of mostly American women. There is some real vitriol spewed about politics and a very clear Dem/Rep divide.

The Democrat who posted a very similar thing to what the OP posted here was taken to task for not actually posting the whole question, which was if abortion becomes illegal

I hate the man and fear for the world if he gets anywhere near the White House but in this instance I think he has been miss-quoted.

Anyway The Donald has Words, he has the words - His answer to some question I CBA to look up but I thought was hilarious and very, very worrying at the same time.

BarbarianMum · 01/04/2016 10:25

Actually I can see the parallels with Hitler. Not Hitler in 1939 onwards but in the early 1930s. Charismatic, bigoted, inconsistent, illogical, keen to seek scapegoats , power hungry.

Everything has to start somewhere. Lets hope this time it doesn't.

Thymeout · 01/04/2016 11:12

I'm holding on to my conviction that a nation who elected Obama will never elect Trump.

But have you seen Cruz? In some ways, he's worse.

MrsJayy · 01/04/2016 11:26

Cruz likes a bit of bacon frying on guns he is a delight Hmm its like worse and worser did the bush fella drop out ?

Lweji · 01/04/2016 11:32

Yes, Jeb has dropped out. :)
Kasich continues, though, but with little hope.

grannytomine · 01/04/2016 11:35

I don't like him, can't believe he is in the running and dread what will happen if he wins but in this case I think it is a bit unfair. He was pushed and pushed to say what would happen if abortion was illegal. he didn't sound particularly keen but eventually said yes there has to be some punishment. It is pretty pointless to have laws if there are no punishments for breaking them.

I think he is mad enough that people don't need to exaggerate what he says in fact I think it weakens the argument against him.

OpenMe · 01/04/2016 11:35

Isn't that one of the reasons Trump's doing so well? Because the other candidates are even more scary once you get beyond the headlines?

AdrenalineFudge · 01/04/2016 11:35

I'm quite annoyed by the amount of air time he's receiving on both ends of the pond. Over the past week he's been featured in two programmes both at prime time slots. So much for plurality. The more oxygen we feed this beast the wilder it becomes.

MrsJayy · 01/04/2016 11:39

openme you could be on to something the rest are quietly far more sinister than trump

Lweji · 01/04/2016 11:41

Pretty much all Republican candidates are scary.
Kasich possibly the least.
As for Trump, I think there is a big difference between what he says and what he believes in, but what I don't like at all is the way he doesn't think about the issues and just spouts any crap that he thinks might sound good to his target audience. I don't think he is intellectually honest. At least with Cruz voters do know reasonably what to expect from him (not that I'd ever support any Republican candidates).

blondieblonde · 01/04/2016 11:43

If only it was illegal to abort people at 69 years of age.

blondieblonde · 01/04/2016 11:43

*legal!!!! Joke fail.

Lweji · 01/04/2016 11:43
Grin
MrsJayy · 01/04/2016 11:47

There is a family guy joke where Lois griffin is running for Mayor and she says things like terrorist to get applause that is what trump is doing just spouting words to get applause and I think his rally supporters are just rentacrowd

OpenMe · 01/04/2016 11:53

The more worrying thing for the rest of the world, imo, is that the Democrats don't have a stronger candidate which means whichever mad republican stands is likely to win. I can't see how Hilary can win with her history of lying, financial irregularity and lack security.

Lweji · 01/04/2016 12:01

Both Democrat candidates to nomination are way ahead in national polls, actually.

HelpfulChap · 01/04/2016 12:10

Glad to see he back tracked on that ridiculous statement.

I am 100% pro-choice. Women have enough to worry about regarding their rights and freedoms from the east without suffering a pincer movement from the west.

MrsJayy · 01/04/2016 12:12

I think because Trump is being so outrageous that he is getting so much coverage when is it all decided ? We have him right up to November if he gets his nomination to stand

ptumbi · 01/04/2016 12:21

I think if he gets in, it;d be quite funny (for a while)

The entire planet would take a collective leap step back from USA. He wants the Mexicans to fund a wall across the border? I think they'd be only too willing. I think the Canadians will too.

The entire planet will look on USA in horror, withdraw all business, money and support, and the states of america would be a laughing stock.

Wonder how long it'd take to remove him from office, once they realise?
